Chief Minister holds live dialogue with members of self-help groups

Bhopal 08 March 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan interacted with members of self-help groups present in districts through video conferencing at the state level programme 'Nari Tu Narayani' held in Bhopal today. The women frankly narrated to the Chief Minister the stories of their success achieved in short time. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is happy today due to women. The woman also turns a curse into a boon.
Seema Rajak of self-help group that stitches jackets in Badarwan village of Shivpuri district told the Chief Minister that more than two and a half thousand women were attached to the group. They also stitched school uniform jackets and sent masks in large numbers to other villages during lockdown. She told the Chief Minister that a member gets an income of Rs 13 to 14 thousand a month.
Saroj Bala of Aajevika Rural Mart in Sheopur district said that there are 40 types of items in her mart. Each member gets a profit of 10 to 15 thousand every month. Milk, curd, ghee, buttermilk are supplied to Kesli and Sagar. Every member gets a monthly income of Rs 15 to 20 thousand. There is a target to increase the number of members 50 thousand in the coming time.
Meenu Shukla of Panna district's self-help group said that our committee provides help in the event of any untoward incident. 8 thousand 900 women have joined the group. Each member deposit Rs 300 annually. In case of death in the family of a member, assistance of Rs 5 thousand is given immediately within one or two hours. The rest of 10 thousand is given after the meeting of the group. Due to this, the bereaved family does not have to spread their hands in front of anyone.
Shyam Vishwakarma of the Naya Savera Aajeevika Silai Sansadhan Kendra in Damoh district said that they did farma cutting of 5 lakh pieces in the development block and district. Due to which her group earned 14 lakhs in two months. The members of the group are earning 15 to 20 thousand rupees per month. Chief Minister Chouhan praised the dedication and passion of the group for earning income of lakhs in two months.
Kanta Malviya, Bank Sakhi of Rajgarh district, told that during the Corona era, Bank Sakhis went door-to-door and gave away pension, money etc. to the elderly. There are 110 bank sakhis in the Rajgarh district. They go from door-to-door in the village for opening of Jan Dhan accounts, disbursal of pension, scholarship etc. She earns 25 to 30 thousand rupees from it in a month.
Smt. Anita Kosare of Mandava, Community Training Center in Dhar district, said that computers, projectors, televisions, reading books etc. are all available in her centre. The leftover water from the kitchen is used in Kitchen Vatika and to make vermicompost. This year there has been a profit of 5 lakhs.
Manju Gehlot of Spice Processing Unit of Barwani said that 80 kg of turmeric seeds were distributed to members and turmeric was purchased from them as the plants grew. For processing, a factory with an investment of 15 lakh rupees has been set up by taking loan from the bank. Pure spice supply is also targeted. The Chief Minister assured her that efforts would be made to provide market for her products in the country and abroad.
Lakshmi Bhaonre of Kanha Krishi Vanopaj Producer Company of Mandla district told that 744 members of the committee sell fragrant paddy, Kodo, through the shop allotted in Collectorate. They are giving more than the market price of the crop to the farmers.
