During the months of December to March, small green and white flowers are produced, which have a distinctive aroma. The plant grows mostly in the Himalayan regions and its surroundings. The bark of the plant is gray-coloured. This plant is used in the treatment of many diseases in all three Ayurvedic, Siddha and Unani medicine systems. Saptaparni is an effective medicine in treatment of a wide range of health problems, from weakness to healing open wounds and jaundice.
