Bhopal 19 March 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a sapling of Neem plant in his residence premises today. Neem plant has medicinal properties. It cures infection. It is used in the treatment of dental diseases. Various medicines are prepared by drying Neem leaves
Medicinal Properties of Neem
Neem is rich in antibiotics and is known as a supreme medicine. Neem may be bitter in taste, but its benefits are similar to nectar.
According to medical experts, if a poisonous insect bites then grinding neem leaves finely and applying it on the affected area provides relief and the poison does not spread. Applying neem leaves on any type of wound has many benefits. Canker is also healed by applying a paste of neem leaves with olive oil. If there are problems of ringworm or itching, applying neem leaf powder mixed with curd provides quick relief. In the condition of kidney stones, if 2 grams of ash of neem leaves is taken with water daily, the stone starts melting and comes out of the urinary tract.
In the event of malarial fever, boil neem bark in water and make a decoction. Now drinking two tablespoonful of this decoction thrice a day cures fever and weakness.
Using neem oil is beneficial for skin disease. Skin diseases are cured by mixing a little camphor in neem oil and massaging it on the body. Neem stalk has the properties to treat cough, haemorrhoids, pimples and intestinal worms. Chewing it daily or boiling it is beneficial. Massage of neem oil is beneficial for headache, toothache, pain of hands and legs and chest pain. Its fruit Nimori is used for healing phlegm and removing intestinal worms.
Brushing with neem twig makes the teeth strong and the disease of pyorrhea is treated. Teeth and gums remain healthy on rinsing the mouth with the decoction of neem leaves.
