Bhopal 22 March 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that under all circumstances the people of the state have to be saved from the corona infection spreading again. For this, public awareness campaign is necessary. Everyone has to wear mask for their own safety, adhering to “my protection - my mask”. Awareness campaign is being started in the state. Whether officers or public representatives or common citizens, all together should make this campaign a success. We need to intensify our protective efforts before Corona crisis deepens. Caution has to be increased in districts adjoining Maharashtra. After the decision to impose lockdown on Sunday in some cities and to shut the markets at 10 pm in some districts, it has been decided to intensify awareness campaign. Under this, on Tuesday March 23 at 11 am and 7 pm in the state, everyone should stop their work for two minutes to wear a mask as the siren will blow and they should also motivate others to use the mask.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that mask is the most important means to prevent infection. Along with this, social distancing should be followed. If there is a participation of more than twenty persons, the permission for that programme or meeting should be provided by the District Crisis Management Group. Along with this, necessary decisions should be taken at the local level in relation to fairs and other festivals as well according to the circumstances of the district. Chief Minister Chouhan said that availability of face masks should also be ensured in the districts. Where necessary, get make masks with self-help groups at the district level to supply adequate number of masks and ensure their use.

The Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with the members of the Crisis Management Group of the districts through a video conference from the Mantralaya today. Chief Minister Chouhan also received suggestions from the members of Crisis Management Group of the districts. It was told in the video conference that out of the total cases of corona infection in the state, about half of the cases are from two big cities Indore and Bhopal. The share of cities of Indore and Bhopal is 27 and 25 percent respectively of the total cases of the state. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary and Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were also present during the video conference. Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman informed that the work of vaccination is in progress in the state. Target Group's vaccination will be completed in three months.

Conduct public awareness campaign actively

Chief Minister Chouhan said that public representatives and officers should wear mask themselves and also post its photo on social media with slogan “Mera Mask-Meri Suraksha”. This publicity campaign will yield positive results. We do not intend to take Madhya Pradesh towards lockdown. The task of bringing the economy back on track in the state has been completed with great difficulty. Small traders and daily earners suffer the most from the growing corona infection. All of us must use face mask in the interest of the people of the state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that people should be advised tomorrow to use masks at 11 am and 7 pm. Interrupt those who have not put on masks. The Chief Minister said that all religious leaders should also cooperate in this work of public welfare and appeal to the people to wear masks. Apart from this, all public representatives such as MPs, MLAs should invariably motivate citizens to wear masks. Social organisations should also be active in this work. Activists of organisations like N.S.S. and N.C.C. should also come together. Working jointly they can make the protection from Corona a success. Circles should be made outside the shops so that people stand with distance from each other and the infection can be curbed while purchasing goods from the shopkeeper.

Meri Holi-Mere Ghar

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this campaign should be conducted continuously for a few weeks. Let us all be vigilant. Do not hold fairs as well. There should be no more than twenty people in events. Crisis Management Groups should ensure these arrangements. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the pace of the corona should be halted, for this all will have to be mobilized, then only we will be able to make Madhya Pradesh safe.
