Beneficiaries of central and state schemes honoured
Bhopal 24 March 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that my government aims at bringing a smile on the faces of the poor. For this, I am softer than flowers for gentlemen, and tougher than thunderbolt for the goons and miscreants. I will leave no stone unturned in reaching out to the last person in society for development. Implementation of schemes designed to benefit the poor will continue. The schemes which were discontinued by the previous government are being relaunched.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was addressing a function in Barwani on Thursday organized to honour the beneficiaries of central and state government schemes. He honoured the beneficiaries by garlanding them and offering shawl, shriphal and Bhagavad Gita. Prior to the programme, Chief Minister Chouhan planted mango sapling and performed kanya pujan in the Mummai Mata temple premises. The Chief Minister also announced construction of a community building for devotees in the temple premises at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. Chief Minister Chouhan said that every grain of the farmers produce will be purchased on support price. Concrete house will be built for every poor in the next three years. Water will be delivered from house to house through taps in every village of the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan sought information from the women of self-help groups whether school uniforms were being purchased from them or from a contractor. The women said that they are stitching and distributing the uniforms. On this, the Chief Minister expressed happiness that loans will be provided at 2 percent interest to push the women’s group ahead.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the street vendor scheme has proved to be very effective for small businessmen due to lockdown situation. This plan will be continued even further. The Chief Minister said that 90 percent Corona infection can be prevented by wearing masks. Therefore, everyone must use the mask inevitably and correctly.
Meanwhile, he intercepted some people and made them wear masks properly. Chief Minister Chouhan called for public participation to prevent Corona infection and also advised citizens to be alert.
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that the battle against Corona is on under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the first phase, the front-line workers and in the second phase people over 60 years of age have been vaccinated. Immunization of people above 45 years of age is being started from April 1. Therefore, all eligible people must get vaccinated compulsorily.
