Corona prevention and treatment is top priority: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 26 March 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the prevention and treatment of Corona is the highest priority in the state. District Crisis Management Groups should hold meetings and develop district wise strategy. We must stop the infection of Corona in any case and must not allow the infection to spread in the districts where there is no or less infection. Sunday lockdown has been imposed in Vidisha, Ujjain, Gwalior, Narsinghpur and Saunsar also.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing situation and arrangements of Corona in Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajaura were present in the meeting.

Cases doubled in a week
Registry at guideline rates till April 30
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that registry will be done at the prevailing guideline rates till the coming April 30, the rate will not be increased. Therefore, do not make haste in registries.

Corona cases have doubled in the state in the last one week. There are 11 thousand 168 active cases. The average positivity rate of Corona in the last one week is 6.3 percent, which is higher than the country’s weekly average rate of 4.6.

Maximum 612 cases in Indore

In a district-wise review of Corona, maximum number of new cases is 612 in Indore. 425 in Bhopal, 156 in Jabalpur, 83 in Ujjain, 65 in Ratlam, 63 in Gwalior, 60 in Khargone, 60 in Betul, 54 in Sagar, 44 in Sagar, 37 in Barwani, 35 in Chhindwara, Narsinghpur 33, 27 in Shahdol, 26 in Balaghat and 22 in Shajapur. The remaining districts have less than 20 cases.

Hospitals must be fully prepared

Most of Corona patients are in home isolation. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that hospitals in all districts must ensure the best system of treatment for Corona. Arrangements for shifting home isolation cases to the hospital must be ensure if need arises.

Triple strategy to deal with Corona

Chief Minister Chouhan said that we are adopting a triple strategy to deal with Corona infection in the state. The first is to take all measures to prevent infection, the second is to provide the best system of treatment for Corona in hospitals and the third is to get speed up vaccinations in the state, so that Corona crisis can be minimized.

Corona control without damaging the economy

Chief Minister Chouhan said that total lockdown cripples the economy and leaves people jobless. We will make all possible efforts not to damage the economy and ensure to take the state safely out of Corona crisis. Necessary measures will be taken.

‘Mera mask –Meri Suraksha’ campaign

Chief Minister Chouhan said that public awareness is very important to avoid Corona infection. For this, the ‘Mera Mask-Meri Suraksha’ campaign is being conducted in the state. Under this, masks are being distributed among the people and they are being made aware of the importance of wearing masks. Wearing a mask gives 90 percent protection from Corona.

Celebrate upcoming festivals at home

Chief Minister Chouhan said that to ensure that Corona infection does not spread, everyone should celebrate the upcoming festivals at home with full devotion and faith. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Holika Dahan and Shab-e-Baraat should be celebrated symbolically in the districts where there are more than 20 cases of Corona. Special care should be taken to ensure that no crowd is formed anywhere.

Precautions to be taken

Chief Minister Chouhan said that everyone must wear masks, follow social distancing, keep hands clean, keep on sanitizing and get vaccinated as per schedule. The mask protects you from getting infected, social distancing does not make you a Corona carrier, sanitizers kill the Corona virus. Vaccination creates immunity in your body against Corona. Therefore, to avoid Corona, all these precautions must be taken.

Purchase on support price from March 27

Wheat purchase on support price is starting from March 27 in Ujjain and Indore divisions of the state. Purchase in the remaining divisions will start from April 1. Along with this, procurement of gram, lentil and mustard is being started in all the divisions on March 27 – Window to News
