CM Chouhan plants Karanj sapling in Smart Garden

Bhopal 04 April 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Karanj sapling in the Smart Garden today morning. Chief Minister Chouhan has appealed to the common people to increase greenery by planting saplings. Bhopal Collector Avinash Lavania was also present on the occasion.
Karanj has also important medical usages. Besides, Karanj plant is also used in religious works. Talking about its major medicinal properties, it is used in the treatment of leprosy, healing wounds quickly, relieving inflammation, curing phlegm and vata. A paste prepared by grinding the bark of its plant and applying it to the place of leprosy and wound is helpful. Its oil is used to relieve worm infestation.
