Adequate arrangement of beds, oxygen etc. ensured for Corona treatment

Bhopal 10 April 2021:  Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is adequate arrangement of beds, oxygen, medicines, injections etc. in hospitals for treatment in all districts of the state. Covid Care Centers are being set up in every district. Adequate number of beds are being increased in all districts for future requirements. Private hospitals are also being contracted. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the ministers should start working on war footing in their respective areas for prevention of Corona infection, treatment etc. We have to effectively prevent Corona infection in every situation and ensure the best treatment for every Corona patient.

Chief Minister Chouhan was taking an emergency meeting of the members of the cabinet in Mantralaya today. Ministers who attended the meeting were Dr. Narottam Mishra, Kamal Patel, Vishwas Sarang, Jagdish Deora, Bisahulal Singh, Arvind Bhadoria, Vijay Shah, Bharat Singh Kushwaha and Pradyumna Singh Tomar.

60 percent beds in government hospitals and 47 percent in private hospitals vacant

Chief Minister Chouhan said that 60 percent of beds in government hospitals and 47 percent in private hospitals are vacant for Corona patients. AS many as 17 thousand 492 beds are occupied in government hospitals, while 13 thousand 250 beds are occupied in private hospitals. In Bhopal, JK Hospital and People’s Hospital have been contracted by the government. Minister Vishwas Sarang said that 150 beds are vacant for Corona patients in People’s Hospital.

67 percent of patients under home isolation

Chief Minister Chouhan said that 67 percent of the total patients of Corona are in home isolation and 33 percent of the patients are admitted in hospitals. Of the patients admitted iin hospitals, 18 percent are on oxygen support and 8 percent are in ICU. At present, the number of active Corona patients in the state is more than 30 thousand.

Now 180 metric tonnes of oxygen availability

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the availability of oxygen in the state is 60 MT which has been tripled. Now the availability of oxygen in our hospitals is 180 MT which is adequate.

Covid Care Centers in every district

Covid Care Centers are being established in every district, for the treatment of Corona patients. An amount of Rs 2 crores each has also been released to each district for Corona related arrangements.

Orders for 50 thousand Remdesivir injections

Chief Minister Chouhan said that order for 50 thousand Remdesivir injections has been given for treatment of Corona and injection have also started coming in. Sufficient supply of the injections will continue. These injections will be administered free of cost in government and contracted hospitals.

Better arrangement of patients under home isolation

Chief Minister Chouhan said that best arrangements are being made for patients living in home isolation. They are being looked after through the District Command and Control Center. Instructions have also been given to districts to talk to them at least twice a day and conduct surprise inspections.

CT Scan machine at district level

Chief Minister Chouhan said that CT Scan machines are being arranged in every district hospital. Tenders have been issued in this regard. This process will be completed soon.

Discussion held with Crisis Management groups

Chief Minister Chouhan said that today he spoke to members of Crisis Management Groups in each district and has told them to implement a strategy to prevent Corona infection according to the conditions of their district.
