Infection has to be stopped where it exists

Bhopal 02 May 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the only way to break the chain of corona is that where there is infection, it has to be stopped there itself. Create a micro containment zone and stop the corona there itself if there are cases of infection in villages, mohallas, streets. Also, in areas where there is no corona infection, there should be strict vigilance of those coming from outside, so that the infection cannot enter there. Chief Minister Chouhan said that with the efforts of everyone, 'My village-Corona-free village', 'My locality-Corona-free loclity' and 'My city-Corona-free city' should be made successful.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that by surveying from house to house, patients of cold, cough, fever should be identified and treatment should be started by giving medical kits to them. The patients will get better as medicines will be given to them from the beginning. For this, campaigns should be conducted in villages and cities. Corona support centers should be built in cities, from where medical kits can be easily available.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that medical kits and brochures should be provided to the patients living in home isolation and doctors should talk to them daily and advise them regarding treatment. Patients who have less space at home should be kept in covid care centres. In covid care centers, along with treatment, good arrangements for food etc. should also be ensured. Make the home isolation system perfect.

Chief Minister Chouhan was taking a meeting of Corona Control Core Group from his residence today. All the concerned ministers and officials were present in the meeting.

Pay special attention to high-positivity districts

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that special attention should be paid to high-positivity districts of the state. The 15 districts of the state have an average positivity rate of more than 25% for 7 days. Tikamgarh has the positivity rate of 47%, Shivpuri of 39%, Datia of 34%, Anuppur of 32%, Singrauli of 31%, Narsinghpur of 31%, Sidhi of 31%, Katni of 30%, Gwalior of 29%, Niwari of 27%, Sehore of 27%, Bhopal of 27%, Dindori of 27%, Betul of 26% and Morena has positivity rate of 26%.

Make home isolation system perfect

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that home isolation system should be made perfect so that patients become healthy at home and they do not need to go to hospital. Currently, 64 thousand 218 patients are in home isolation in the state, out of which 13 thousand 596 are in rural areas and 50 thousand 622 are in urban areas.

87 thousand 179 active patients

More patients are getting healthy and going home as compared to new cases in the state. Due to this, there is a continuous decrease in the number of active corona patients in the state. In the last 24 hours, 12 thousand 652 new patients were found in the state, while 13 thousand 890 patients recovered. The number of active corona patients has declined to 87 thousand 179 in the state. The state's recovery rate is 84.2% and the death rate is 1%. The state is ranked 14th in the country in terms of infection.

More than 200 new cases in 18 districts

District-wise review found that more than 200 new cases of corona have been reported in 18 districts of the state. 1821 in Indore, 1678 in Bhopal, 1072 in Gwalior, 731 in Jabalpur, 346 in Rewa, 328 in Betul, 325 in Ratlam, 276 in Shivpuri, 268 in Damoh, 262 in Ujjain, 257 in Satna, 249 in Panna, 233 in Dhar. , 222 in Sagar, 216 in Singrauli, 212 in Anuppur, 212 in Sehore and 209 new cases have been found in Vidisha.

Burhanpur has the lowest positivity rate

Burhanpur district has the lowest weekly average positivity rate of 3% as regards corona infection. Chhindwara has 5%, Khandwa 6%, Bhind 10% and Ashoknagar has 11% positivity rate.

1267 Oxygen Beds at Covid Care Centers

Oxygen is available in 80 of the Covid care centers operating in the state. There are 14 thousand 362 isolation beds and 1267 oxygen beds available in these centers. In covid care centres, arrangements have been made for the treatment of patients as well as their food etc.

Continuous and adequate supply of oxygen

The state has got a quota of 589 metric tonnes of oxygen from the Government of India, against which 456 MT of oxygen was received last day, 474 MT of oxygen came today and 543 MT of oxygen is expected on May 3. 548 MT of oxygen was supplied on May 1 and 566 MT on May 2. Seven new oxygen plants started functioning in the state. Most new oxygen plants will be completed by the end of May.
