45 Oxygen plants approved in 45 districts
Bhopal 02 May 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there is a steady improvement in the recovery rate as compared to corona positive cases in the state. The recovery rate was 80.41 percent on April 23, which has increased to 84.19 percent on May 2 today. The recovery rate reached 82.28 percent on April 29, 82.88 percent on April 30 and 83.63 percent on May 1. According to the number of active cases, Madhya Pradesh was at number 7 in the country, which has now come in a better position at number 14. The percentage of recovery has been higher than the new positive cases in 26 districts of the state.
83.4 percent patients recover in home isolation
In the state, 83.4 percent of the patients recovered in one day were home isolation patients and 3.9 percent of the patients were treated in covid care centres. In this way, 87.3 percent of the patients got healthier in home isolation and covid care centers without going to the hospital. The remaining 12.7 percent have recovered in hospitals and gone back to their homes. A total of 68 thousand 156 patients are in home isolation in the state. Of these, 97 percent of the patients have been contacted at least once. Home delivery of medical kits and health brochures is being done to 99 percent of the patients of home isolation.
251 covid care centers are operational in 52 districts
251 covid care centers have been started in 52 districts of the state, in which patients with mild symptoms are being kept. At present, a total of 16 thousand 636 beds have been arranged. Of these, 1180 oxygen beds have been installed. The number of beds in the centres is continuously increasing.
More than 22 thousand quarantine centres
So far, a total of 22 thousand 10 institutional quarantine centres have been set up in rural areas. 2 lakh 63 thousand 715 beds have been put up in them. Medical kits and health brochures are being provided to the patients residing in all the centers established in urban and rural areas.
Hospitals and beds
A total of 845 Covid hospitals are operated in the state. Till April 1, a total of 20 thousand 159 beds were available, which have been increased to more than 60 thousand. More than a thousand beds are being added daily. More than 40 thousand beds have been added in a month. The work of laying the pipeline to convert the beds of government hospitals in the state to oxygen beds is going on a war footing. So far out of 2 thousand 302 beds of district hospitals, oxygen pipelines have been laid for 1476 beds. Out of 4643 beds of community health centres in the state, the work of laying oxygen pipeline for 557 beds has been completed so far.
Oxygen availability
The state has received 649 metric tonnes of oxygen from the Central government from April 24 to date. A total of 474.8 metric tonnes of oxygen is expected to be received from outside sources. Apart from this, 455.2 metric tonnes of oxygen has been supplied from outside sources. For quick transport of oxygen, oxygen tankers are being airlifted from Jharkhand and Gujarat and brought to Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior. Efforts are being made with the Central government for a flight from Jamnagar to Bhopal-Indore, including a tactical flight of the Air Force between Bokaro and Bhopal. Apart from this, Ministry of Railways was requested to provide 2 railway rakes with the facility of transporting 6 tankers per rake from Rourkela to Jabalpur via Railways.
A request has also been made by the state government to the Government of India to increase the allocation of oxygen from oxygen producing companies Air Liquid, Panipat from 6 metric tonnes per day to 20 metric tonnes per day and from Inox, Bokaro to 133 metric tonnes per day from 100 metric tonnes. 2000 oxygen concentrators have been installed by the state government for the supply of oxygen. Apart from this, 5000 concentrator centres with a capacity of 10 liters per minute have been requested to be supplied.
45 Oxygen plants approved in 45 districts
The state government is setting up new oxygen plants prepared with PSA technology in district hospitals from its own budget for 37 districts of the state. In the first phase, plants will be started in 13 districts by May 16. It is targeted to start oxygen plants by May 23 in 9 districts in the second phase and by July 20 in the remaining 15 districts in the third phase.
