Bhopal 21 May 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that by the end of this month, Corona positivity must be wiped out in all the districts of the state, so that from next month, life in the state can be normalized and work can be started.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that aggressive testing should be done in all rural and urban areas of the state. Contract tracing must be conducted and micro containment zones must be created. Every single patient of Corona must be detected, treated and Corona infection must be totally eliminated.
The Chief Minister said that Black fungus has been declared an epidemic in the state. Best arrangement should be made for the treatment of this disease, to ensure that ‘Amphotericin B’ injection should be made available to the patients who have been operated.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state from his residence today through video conferencing. All Ministers and officers in-charge and all concerned, including Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang were present.
4384 new cases
As many as 4384 new cases of Coron have been reported in the state. In the last 24 hours, 9405 patients have recovered. The number of active cases is 67625, weekly positivity is 8.2 percent and today’s positivity is 5.6 percent. Number of tests conducted today is 78 thousand. The number of weekly new cases is 40 thousand 411.
Ten districts with over 100 cases
There are more than 100 cases in about 10 districts of the state. As many as 937 new cases have been reported in Indore, 609 in Bhopal, 279 in Jabalpur, 148 in Rewa, 146 in Ratlam, 127 in Ujjain, 126 in Anuppur, 114 in Shivpuri, 110 in Sagar and 105 in Gwalior.
Only 5 districts with more than 10 percent positivity
Today, only five districts of the state have more than 10 percent positivity which includes 15 percent in Bhopal, 13 percent in Indore, 13 percent in Rewa, 12 percent in Ujjain and 11 percent in Anuppur.
5 percent and less positivity in 17 districts
Weekly positivity rate is 5 percent and less in 17 districts including Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Datia, Morena, Guna, Sheopur, Ashoknagar, Chhindwara, Harda, Bhind, Burhanpur, Mandla, Jhabua, Niwari Alirajpur, Khandwa and Barwani.
I.C.U. beds should be increased

Narsinghpur and Katni districts gave directions to increase number of ICU beds there. Wards for children should be made as part of preparation for the third wave. Village, city and district level committees should work actively to eliminate Corona infection. The Corona growth rate of Narsinghpur district is 0.8 percent, weekly positivity rate is 6 percent and today’s positivity is 2.5 percent. An average of 83 cases is being reported per day. Corona growth rate in Katni district is 0.8 percent, weekly positivity is 7.2 percent and 52 new cases were reported today.
Positivity in Mandla district less than one percent in Mandla district
Chief Minister Chouhan, in a review of Mandla district, said that the positivity there has been 0.9 percent today, out of 1050 tests, only 9 cases have tested positive. For this, Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the entire staff including the minister in-charge and said that the district should be completely infection -free as soon as possible.
Free treatment of 6294 patients of Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana
As many as 6294 patients are being treated free of cost in private hospitals affiliated under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana of the state. As of today, an amount of Rs 8 crore 13 lakh 61 thousand has been spent on them. Apart from this, 11614 patients are being provided free treatment in government hospitals and 2220 patients in contracted hospitals.
Over Rs 1 crore refunded to families of 130 patients
Over Rs one core has been refunded to families of 130 patients after action was taken against hospitals in the state for overcharging. Criminal cases have been registered against 75 persons for selling / black marketing of fake medicines.
10 percent oxygen should be given to industries
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that additional availability of oxygen has been ensured in the state, so 10 percent of the available oxygen should be made available to industries.
