Students should launch public awareness campaign on Covid preventive measures: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 01 June 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is due to the hard work and teamwork of the members of the Cabinet, that Corona has come under control in the state. Now we are in a comfortable position. As a result of this, 1078 positive cases were reported yesterday, the positivity rate is now 1.5 percent and 4 thousand 120 persons have recovered. The recovery rate has gone up to 96.36 percent, which is satisfactory. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process of unlocking has been started in a phased manner in the state. Now people have to be constantly inspired to adopt Covid friendly behaviour. For this the student power of the state will have to come forward. College students, NSS and NCC cadets will be trained as master trainers and their services will be taken in public awareness campaign. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the ministers before the meeting of the Cabinet. The meeting of the Council of Ministers began with the rendition of Vande Mataram at Mantralaya.

All Cabinet members deserve to be congratulated

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there was not a single positive case in Alirajpur yesterday. Less than 10 cases have been reported in 36 districts of the state. Our target was to reach the status of 0 percent cases by 31st May. The fact that we have reached the single digit number of cases in 36 districts of the state means that we have reached the target. Only in Bhopal and Indore, the positivity rate is more than 5 percent. Different strategies will be worked out in these two cities. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state has reached this situation due to the mobility of Crisis Management Groups and its working along with the people. All the members of the Council of Ministers deserve to be congratulated for this satisfactory condition.

Chief Minister will visit districts to create environment

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Corona has to be locked. Therefore, an environment has to be created among the people to adopt Covid Appropriate Behaviour. It is the responsibility of all the members of the Cabinet to work in their respective areas in this direction. To follow the Covid guideline, people will have to be inspired to follow activities like wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands frequently, making circles in front of shops etc. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he himself will visit some districts to create an atmosphere in this direction. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the members of the Council of Ministers should visit the districts under their charge. He told them to communicate with the public, give necessary instructions to the officers and fulfill their responsibility by motivating the people for Covid appropriate behavior. Chief Minister Chouhan also directed the members of the Cabinet to run a campaign focused on public awareness for vaccination in their respective districts.

Submit suggestions regarding education system after discussion with experts

Chief Minister Chouhan said that six Groups of Ministers have been formed for the management of Corona infection. These groups continued to work for vaccination, hospital management, public awareness, vaccination and production and availability of oxygen. A compulsory meeting of each Group of Ministers must be held once a week. In addition, the seventh ministerial group has been created for education. What can be the options of imparting education, how to conduct examinations, can older children be permitted to attend school in a limited number? This will be considered by the group. Sports and Youth Welfare and Technical Education Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sushri Meena Singh, Medical Education and Gas Relief Minister Vishwas Sarang, Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Minister of State for School Education Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of State for AYUSH Shri Ramkishore Kavre should hold discussion in this regard. They should consider what technology can be used in this direction and discuss it with experts and offer suggestions. We should strive to ensure that a separate model of Madhya Pradesh should be made in the field of education, which should be an example in the country.

Our priority is to build an Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the creation of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh is our priority. Work should be restarted in this direction. Chief Minister Chouhan said that work has been started by immediately laying the virtual foundation stone and dedicating the wards and other facilities meant to strengthen the health infrastructure. These arrangements will create confidence in the public. These activities will help in creating the necessary environment for normalizing the situation.

Students and professors will become master trainers of Covid appropriate behaviour

Chief Minister Chouhan said that an awareness campaign has to be conducted in the state aimed at motivating people to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour. Students of colleges and technical educational institutes should be included in this. There are more than 18 lakh students in the state. These students and professors should be trained as master trainers of Covid appropriate behaviour. Trained students and professors should motivate people for Covid appropriate behaviour and vaccination. The contribution of student power, NCC and NSS will be effective in creating a Covid friendly environment.

Madhya Pradesh will present a new model in stopping the third wave

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the third wave is not to be allowed to set in under any situation in the state. Such activities will help us in stopping the third wave. Along with this test, identification of positive case, contact tracing and taking the Covid infected person to the Covid Care Centre should continue. The Kill-Corona campaign should continue. The ministers, MLAs and MPs should lead these activities and awareness campaigns to adopt Covid friendly behaviour.
