Bhopal 19 June 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Covid-19 Vaccination Maha Abhiyan is being organised in the state on June 21. Under the campaign, arrangements for vaccination will be made at 7 thousand vaccination centres in the state. It is our endeavour to get more than 10 lakh people vaccinated in a day in the Vaccination Maha Abhiyan. This campaign will be possible only with the cooperation of religious leaders, voluntary organisations, social workers, political parties, MPs, ministers, MLAs, public representatives. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to everyone to cooperate in creating an environment for the vaccination campaign. Chief Minister Chouhan virtually addressed the dignitaries of all the districts of the state from his residence. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present on this occasion.

Have suffered a lot in the second wave of Corona

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the second wave of corona infection was more deadly than the first, the virus was more contagious. As a result we have suffered a lot. The horror of the seven days when the intensity of the infection was greatest remains on the mind even today. We tried day and night and made arrangements for the availability of oxygen, medicines, injections etc. for the treatment of the public. With your blessings and cooperation and the loving guidance and cooperation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we were able to face the situation. Air Force planes and trains were used for oxygen supply in the state due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi. Worked day and night to provide Remdesivir injections, medicines and make other arrangements. As a result, now the infection is under control in the state. Yesterday only 110 cases came in the entire state. The infection is also under control in Indore and Bhopal. Cases are zero in many places. In some districts, the number of cases is one or two.

The virus is not gone yet

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the virus is not gone yet. After a 90-day lockdown in England, the number of corona infected people started increasing again. As a result they are not fully opening the lockdown i.e. the virus is still present. I want to bring this fact to your information, as soon as it is unlocked, the interaction starts, the virus starts spreading again.

Repeated lockdown is not possible

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the possibility of a third wave is being expressed, then the number of positive cases may increase, but we cannot impose lockdown again and again. How long will we close business and employment? The poor are ruined, business is destroyed, industries suffer. Therefore, a way has to be found by which the world can also keep running and the infection of Covid can also be controlled. We will control the infection of Covid while running industry, shops, trade, economic activities and social work. The government cannot do this work alone. In this, the cooperation of prominent personalities, religious leaders, voluntary organisations of the society is needed. You have influence in the society, people obey you, so if you mobilize, we will continue to run the state by stopping the infection completely.

Infection will be kept under control through testing, tracing, treatment and micro-containment

Chief Minister Chouhan said that we want to make you a partner in the strategy we have prepared and seek your cooperation. As part of the strategy, we will do a large number of tests. There will be 75 to 80 thousand tests daily. The problem is that people think that when they are not sick, then why they should get tested. There is a problem with the test. I appeal that you also tell people what is the problem in getting the test done. People give samples; if they are alright then negative result will come. The advantage of this is that if someone turns out to be positive, then it will be known immediately. Such a person can be isolated at home and will also do contact tracing of all those whom he has come in contact with. All samples will be taken and tests will be done. The advantage of this will be that he will not roam as a spreader and will not be able to spread the infection. If we do not do this test, then there will be a possibility of spreading the infection from one to ten, ten to hundred. Therefore, test, contact tracing, isolation will be done. Where there is infection in two-three houses, a micro-containment area will be created. Along with this, the Kill Corona campaign will also continue. Door-to-door survey will be done; this will help to identify the infected. The disease can be controlled in the early stages. Your cooperation is needed in all these activities; you should motivate people to get the test done and tell that there is no harm in getting the test done. District collectors have also been instructed to conduct more and more tests.

Covid infection will stop with caution

Chief Minister Chouhan said that your cooperation is also needed in getting people to follow the Covid-appropriate behaviour to prevent the infection of Covid. People will have to be motivated to wear masks, maintain distance and keep sanitizing hands. Some rules have to be made for favourable behaviour to prevent infection. Just like shopkeepers make circles in front of their shop, it has to be ensured that when more customers come, they stand in circles, customers should also apply masks, sanitizers should be arranged. In relation to vehicles, it will have to be decided that how many people sit on two-wheelers, they should sit with masks, arrangements will have to be made regarding appropriate behavior for prevention from Covid in respect of road users, vehicle riders. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is necessary that the dignitaries of the society make an appeal for following Corona friendly behaviour to protect against Covid. Your cooperation is necessary in keeping the society alert. If we are not careful then again the number of infected can increase rapidly.

Increasing the capacity of hospitals

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the State Government is continuously making efforts to increase the facilities of the hospitals. Beds, isolation beds, oxygen beds, ICU beds, children's wards, medicine systems and oxygen plants are being set up in hospitals so that if there is any other crisis, we can deal with it. We are setting up adequate arrangements in every city and every district.

Vaccination will save us

Chief Minister Chouhan said that vaccination is the only one which will save us even in the event of infection. The work of vaccination is very important. All the scientists and experts say that the vaccine provides a protection cycle. If we take both the doses, then even if the corona infection spreads, either there will be no corona and if it happens then it will not be fatal. It may not be possible that one may not even need to go to hospital. The body's immunity increases so much that it can fight the virus. Not only in India, scientists from all over the world are also saying this. Countries around the world are offering a safety cycle of vaccinations to protect their citizens. Thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he has decided that the Government of India will provide the vaccine free of cost for all. People aill start getting vaccine from June 21. Therefore, it has been decided that a Maha Abhiyan of vaccination will be started from June 21.

Most of the people of the state have to be vaccinated as soon as possible

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this Maha Abhiyanwill not be ordinary. This is a campaign to save lives. This is a campaign to protect people from Corona. As the Chief Minister, I feel that at this time nothing can be more sacred than this. It is the voice of my conscience that we should devote ourselves wholeheartedly in the campaign so that by September-October when the third wave arrives, we have already vaccinated most of the people of the state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that I will not participate alone in this campaign. The whole government will assemble, I have talked to all the ministers, MLAs and MPs, they will all be involved in the campaign as well as the society will have to mobilized.

It is necessary to clear misconceptions related to vaccination

Chief Minister Chouhan said that many misconceptions are being spread regarding vaccination; these misconceptions have to be cleared. For this we have to come forward. The religious leaders have to tell their followers that the vaccine will save our lives and provide protection. Religious leaders, social workers, heads of voluntary organizations, heads of societies, thinkers, writers, journalists, litterateurs, artists, who are well-known, should tell the society with full force that get the vaccine. We have got the vaccine, you should also get it, and there is protection in the vaccine itself. This will create a feeling in the minds of people that everyone is asking for the vaccine; this will increase people's faith in the vaccine.

Have suffered a lot, now can't bear it for the third time

Chief Minister Chouhan said that I want to decide together with you that by October, we should vaccinate maximum people so that even if there is a wave of corona, we can fight it. We cannot watch our people die. We have suffered a lot in the second wave, now cannot bear the third time. Accordingly, we have to make arrangements and vaccines will also have to be put in place. Need your cooperation in this.

This life saving campaign

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Vaccination Maha Abhiyan will start on June 21 at 10 am. About 7 thousand vaccination centres will be built. The target is to have more than 10 lakh vaccines in a day. You are requested to visit the vaccination centre to motivate people for vaccination. This is a life saving campaign. The campaign should be organised as a festival and in an atmosphere of joy. I request you to present yourself as an inspiration. These activities will be coordinated by the District Collectors in each district.

Vaccine is the only protection, I have got it done, you should also get it done

Chief Minister Chouhan said that all of you should upload your video with the message of 'Vaccine is safety'. Create an environment for vaccination by SMS, talking to small groups of people. Be a source of inspiration for vaccination. There will be 7 thousand motivators at 7 thousand vaccination centres of the state, in which you are included. After reaching the centre, you will start the vaccination work by lighting the lamp. You will administer a pledge at the vaccination centre, in which there will be a message that vaccine is the only protection, I have got the vaccine, and you should also get the vaccine. There will also be a sense of getting others to get the vaccine in the pledge.

It is mandatory to follow Covid protocol at the vaccination centers

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there will be no crowd at the vaccination centres. Covid protocol will be followed. Necessary arrangements are being made in view of the rainy season. After getting the vaccine, there will be a proper arrangement for sitting for half an hour. Tea, water etc. will be arranged by political and social service workers. Vehicles will be arranged to transport the elderly. The team will vaccinate such elderly people who cannot come to the vaccination centre by going to their homes. Care must be taken that the doses of the vaccine should not be wasted. This is the dose of life, not a single dose should be wasted.

Environment is being created at some places with yellow rice and at other places with drums

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to create an environment for vaccination, people should be motivated for vaccination in their respective areas. Crisis Management Committees, field staff will also conduct village-to-village campaign. Different types of initiatives are being taken in the state for creating suitable atmosphere, in some villages yellow rice is being given for vaccination. Somewhere the watchmen are beating the drums. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he himself will also motivate people for the vaccine. If we all come together, an environment will be created for vaccination in the society.

Ranking of vaccination will be like ranking of cleanliness

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the villages which will be fully vaccinated, their ranking will also be done. Just as the ranking of cleanliness is done, in the same way ranking will be done at all levels including village, panchayat in vaccination. This will create a sense of competition.

Create such an environment that there is competition for vaccination

Chief Minister Chouhan said that we have to create such an environment on 21st June itself that there is a competition to get the vaccine. Our efforts should be that by October-November maximum population should be vaccinated and secured. Chief Minister Chouhan said that therefore it is my humble request that you give full cooperation in this campaign. We need full blessings of seniors. You can run your own promotion campaign in your own way. All religious leaders are requested to make an appeal to get the vaccination done on social media as well. This will have a profound effect. MP Vaccination Maha Abhiyan hashtag has been created for social media. Your appeal will come on this. Chief Minister Chouhan requested the religious leaders to engage in the service of the suffering humanity with full potential. Consider the vaccination programme and the task of saving the lives of the people as your work, get it completed wholeheartedly. In today's era, there is no other more sacred and virtuous work than this. There is no greater religion in any religion than doing the welfare of others. The examples of the world are before us, we have to prepare to face the third crisis.

Madhya Pradesh will present a special model of vaccination

Chief Minister Chouhan has directed all the district collectors to ensure better coordination of the entire campaign. Chief Minister Chouhan said that religious leaders should be taken to vaccination centres with full respect and their byte and appeal on social media should also be issued effectively. It should be our endeavour that the environment should be created such that people themselves reach the centres for vaccination on 21st June. This campaign of vaccination will continue continuously from June 21. A vaccination campaign will be run again from July 1 to 3. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he himself would also participate in this Maha Abhiyan. Ministers, political parties, social workers, religious leaders will all participate again in this great campaign. Chief Minister Chouhan said that I am sure that with the cooperation of all of you, a different model of vaccination campaign will be developed in Madhya Pradesh, which will also give direction to other states – Window to News
