Cooperatives has capacity to rebuild - CM Chouhan

C M Chouhan dedicates 55 godowns and lays 114 foundation stones
Programme "Better rebuilding through cooperatives" organised on International Cooperatives Day 
 
Bhopal 03 June 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is immense potential in cooperatives. Instead of me, the feeling of us is cooperative. Cooperative is the feeling that let all work do together and for the good of all and our good is in the good of all. Be it managing the challenges of corona infection or establishing livelihood and business of the people, the principle of cooperation shows the way to solution.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the programme 'Better Rebuilding through Cooperatives' on the occasion of Cooperatives Day organised at International Samanvay Bhavan. Chief Minister Chouhan digitally dedicated 55 godowns and laid foundation stone of 114 godowns approved by Marketing Cooperative Federation and Housing Cooperative Union. The cost of these works is about Rs.77 crore 75 lakh. Cooperatives and Public Service Management Minister Dr. Arvind Singh Bhadauria, MLA Krishna Gaur, Agriculture Production Commissioner K.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Cooperatives Ajit Kesari were also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Chouhan also interacted online with the members of Cold Storage Rau Indore, Pacs Borkheda Sehore, Pacs Lateri Vidisha and Pacs Borakshar Alirajpur.

Cooperatives bank established in Jabalpur in 1904

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the history of cooperatives in Madhya Pradesh is very old. The Cooperative Bank was established in 1904 at Sehora, Jabalpur. Successful efforts have been made in the field of cooperatives in the state. Primary cooperative societies are the biggest support of farmers for fertilisers and seeds. Farmers have got a lot of relief from the facility of zero-percentage loan.

Corona control made possible by cooperative

Chief Minister Chouhan said that corona control in the state was also possible through cooperative. The public-participation model made in the state is a form of cooperative. Crisis Management Committees formed from city to village and ward level took over the responsibility. The whole world saw the results of coming together for any work. The public-participation model of the state has also been appreciated by Prime Minister Modi.

Sanchi brand made its mark

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the efforts of one person in cooperatives take such a huge form, it was proved by the white revolution started by Dr. Kurien. Today an organisation like Amul is giving competition to the whole world. The Sanchi brand of Madhya Pradesh has also made its mark. The forest produce and herbs of the state have many possibilities including Malwa Fresh brand for oranges, Neemuch's garlic, Burhanpur's bananas, Amarkantak's Gul Bakawali, Dindori's Kodo-Kutki.

Self-reliant India will be built only through cooperative movement

Chief Minister Chouhan said that self-reliant India will be built only through cooperative movement. Cooperative has an amazing ability to connect and give direction to people. Cooperation can pave the way for better reconstruction during the calamity of the Corona period. Conducting activities on cooperative basis in areas like transport, fish production, house building, rural tourism, wildlife tourism will create new employment and business opportunities. In this regard, new ideas will have to be worked by including subject experts. Chief Minister Chouhan told the officers and representatives associated with the cooperative that you should innovate - create history, I am with you.

Do not misuse cooperatives

Chief Minister Chouhan said that activities conducted under cooperatives should not be misused. Continuous monitoring and vigilance is essential. Many cases of plot grabbing have come to the fore in the house construction societies formed on the principle of cooperative. So far 6 thousand plots have been returned to the eligible persons. Proceedings are on in respect of others also. It is, therefore, necessary to maintain transparency and clarity of purpose in cooperative processes.

Innovation is necessary in cooperatives - Minister Dr. Bhadauria

Cooperative Minister Dr. Arvind Singh Bhadauria said that cooperative has deep roots in our country and society. Changes in the field of work are necessary according to the needs of the society. Minister Dr. Bhadauria spoke about the need for innovation in horticulture, minerals, labour and cooperatives sectors. Dr. Bhadauria informed that now online registration of cooperatives societies is being done within 45 days. The cases which are presented in the cooperative courts are also being heard through the online process.

Chief Minister Chouhan approved the building

Chief Minister Chouhan conversed with Ramnarayan of Cold Storage Rau active in potato storage, Kailash Pawar of Pacs Borkheda Nasrullaganj Sehore about foodgrain distribution, Mukesh Sharma of Pacs Lateri Vidisha about construction works and Duila of Alirajpur about the members of his organisation. The representatives of Pacs Borkheda Nasrullaganj demanded a building for storing food grains in Nima village. The Chief Minister Chouhan gave immediate approval for the building – Window to News
