Governor overwhelmed to see service being given to the suffering humanity
Bhopal 10 July 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that I am overwhelmed to see the services being rendered to the suffering humanity in Ujjain’s Sevadham Ashram. The resolve to serve children, youth and old people, who are struggling with different types of problems, is exemplary and commendable.
Governor Patel was addressing those present at Sevadham Ashram located at village Ambodia in Ujjain after reviewing the services being provided there. During his first visit to the state, he reached Ujjain and met old people, disabled people, women, girls and destitute children living in Sevadham Ashram. He discussed about the arrangements of health, education etc. for the inmates.
Governor Patel said that no person is disabled. If he is lacking in something, he may have some other divine power. He said that the singing of the blind girl of the ashram is proof of this. He said that if people develop the same spirit towards serving others as the kind of spirit they have towards earning money, then there can be a great improvement in the systems of the society. He said Sudhir Bhai Goyal is serving people who driven by circumstances, were neglected by their family members at Sevadham Ashram. Appreciating him, Patel said that Goyal is serving the suffering humanity at Sevadham Ashram since 32 years. This form of service is commendable and exemplary. All the children are being looked after very well in Sevadham Ashram. He said that I pray to God that all the people stay healthy, stay free of diseases and happy. He said that he enjoyed coming to the ashram and would visit again.
Governor Patel sat in an e-rickshaw and inspected the Sevadham Ashram premises and viewed the material sent to the ashram by former Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel. He met the differently-abled women inmates of the ashram. Differently abled woman Neelima recited poetry. On this occasion Triveni Banyan, Peepal and Neem saplings were planted in the Ashram premises. After worshiping Gauri, he fed fodder and jaggery to the holy cow. He had meals at the Sevadham Ashram. On this occasion, a statue of Maharaja Vikramaditya was presented to the Governor as a memorial.
Ashram Director Sudhir Bhai Goel told that about 700 people were being taken care of at the ashram. He said that it was a matter of pride for him that as soon as Patel took over as Governor of the state, visited the Sevadham Ashram. He said that Patel knows the importance of service. He himself has always been serving the poor people in Gujarat. By lovingly patting children and embracing the elders of Sevadham Ashram, the Governor has given the message that service is the best.
Governor Mangubhai Patel was accorded a traditional welcome by tying a turban on his head at Sevadham. The children of Sevadham Ashram presented a welcome song and an attractive dance drama giving the message of saving the environment – Window to News
