Unique workmanship in 9-day Silk & Cotton Fab of India exhibition
The 9-day Silk & Cotton Fab Office of India organised by Rural Handicraft Development Committee is ongoing at the Community Hall, Ravi Shankar Nagar, Bittan Market. Weavers at the exhibition have brought a variety of sarees with designs of waves of the sea engraved with yarns and many more mesmerising designs. The weavers of Kashmir have brought sarees which weigh just 90 grams.
Jayesh Gupta, Secretary, Handicraft Development Committee said that Silk & Cotton Fab of India is being organised to showcase the products of silk artists across the country.

The 9-day exhibition has brought together silk artisans from all over the country with their finest products. Weavers of West Bengal have brought together traditional saris of Kanjiwaram. Sameer from Calcutta brought saris of Marcelin Net, Katha Work, Shahid Kashmiri, who came from Kashmir, brought the lightest sari made from fine silk, which weighs only 90 grams. This sari is made from fine threads. Along with this, Pashmina Shawl was also created by reading the 400-year-old designing book of the Persian language in the exhibition. The Pashmina shawls are made in the valley by reading the Persian coding written in these books written by the masters of Iran.
Apart from this, the exhibition includes Mysore Silk Sarees, Crepe and Georgette Silk Sarees, Chiffon Silk Sarees, Tussar Silk Sarees and Suits, Kanchipuram Silk Sarees and Wedding Sarees, Designer Fancy Sarees, Dharmavaram Silk Saris, Raw Silk and Tasar, Jute Silk Sarees, Dhaka silk sarees, handloom silk cotton saris, silk blended saris and scarf, silk shawls, silk blends fabric and furnishing, Garhwal Silk Sarees, Hand Block Print Sarees, Suits & Silk Bed Covers, Kurtis, Hand-woven Matka & Assam Coral Clothes, Unique Silk Sarees, Baluchi Sarees, Embroidered Design Silk Sarees & Dress Material, Bhagalpuri suits, printed silk saris, silk plain and herb saris, Karnataka Silk saris, Maheshwari, Chanderi silk saris and suits,
People are coming in large numbers to see this exhibition. The exhibition will last until 30 April.
