CM Chouhan transfers Rs.16.40 lakh into the accounts of 328 child beneficiaries

Bhopal 19 July 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan today transferred an amount of Rs.16 lakh 40 thousand into the accounts of 328 child beneficiaries under the Covid-19 Bal Seva Yojana with a single click. He said that how can one remain an orphan in a living and conscious society. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government will provide Rs. 5 thousand per month to the beneficiaries of the scheme, make arrangement of ration for food and bear cost of education anywhere in India.

Chief Minister Chouhan held virtual discussions with 13 children and parents of Indore, Rajgarh, Seoni, Betul, Mandsaur, Satna and Gwalior under Bal Seva Yojana, sponsorship and foster care. He said that in the Bal Seva Yojana, due to the death of the parents or the earning member of the household due to corona, their dependent children will be given Rs. 5 thousand per month, ration and all the responsibilities related to their education will be borne by the state government. Talking to the children, he said that apart from this, if there is any other requirement, the collectors will take care of them. He said that a guardian officer should be appointed in every district to look after the children.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that how can one become an orphan in a living society, he said that I am not saying this just for sake of saying, many examples are in front of us in the world, who had lost their parents in their childhood but they never gave up, they did not give up, they went ahead and went so far as to become the guides of the society. There are many examples in front of us including Goswami Tulsidas, Vivekananda, former US President George Washington, Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Milkha Singh, Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, who showed direction to the world in their respective fields.

Chief Minister gave instructions on the cognizance of Collector Indore

It was brought to the notice of Chief Minister Chouhan by Collector Indore Manish Singh that one case came to the fore where the grandmother of the beneficiary children of the Bal Seva Yojana had sold the house of their parents, which cost about one crore, at a throwaway price of 40 lakh rupees. Action was taken in the matter after intervention by the administration. Chief Minister Chouhan immediately directed all the collectors to take immediate action when such cases come to the fore and protect the property of the beneficiaries. Make sure that the property of the parents is in the name of their children only. He described the initiative of Collector Indore as exemplary.

Sponsorship scheme

Chief Minister Chouhan informed that under the sponsorship scheme, an amount of Rs. 4 lakh 46 thousand was transferred to 223 beneficiaries at Rs. 2,000 per month. The Government of India's sponsorship scheme was simplified to provide the benefit of this scheme to the beneficiaries whose parents died before March 1, 2021 and their financial condition was not good.

Motivated under foster parents scheme

Discussion was held by Chief Minister Chouhan with Vibha Aneja and Sushri Jyoti Bhavna of Gwalior. Two girls were taken into foster care by Vibha, although she has her own children. After this a girl child, who was victim of POCSO, was taken in foster care. Along with education, vocational training is being provided to the girls. Apart from this, 8 girls have been taken in foster care by Jyoti Bhavna's non-government organisation and are being provided assistance of Rs. 2000 per month – Window to News
