Our players are ready to bring laurels to the state and country on the international stage like Olympics, World Cup, Asian Games. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government was committed to provide all type of state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to the players. Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the Tokyo Olympics, two sportspersons of the state, Aishwarya and Vivek, who are from ordinary families, got a chance to shine in the state's academy. Big hike in sports budget
Chief Minister Chouhan said that at present Madhya Pradesh is leading in the field of sports. In the year 2006, the sports budget was only Rs 5 crore, which has now been increased to Rs 150 crore. In future also there will be no financial crisis for the development of the players and the game. He said that it is a matter of pride for us that in the last Olympics also India was represented by 6 players from the M.P. State Women's Hockey Academy.
