Bhopal 27 July 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Anna Utsav will be celebrated in the state on August 7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the programme virtually. Food grains will be distributed from 25 thousand 435 ration shops in the state. Ration will be given in bags to 100 beneficiaries symbolically at each shop. This event will be held at the shops while following the Corona protocol.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that with the joining of 100 people each at all fair price shops of the state, more than 25 lakh people would join the programme. Besides, the people of the state will also be connected virtually through social and electronic media. This will be a major programme not only of the state but also of the country. A nodal officer will be made for each shop.
Chief Minister Chouhan said this in his address before the meeting of the Council of Ministers. The meeting of the Cabinet began with the recitation of Vande-Mataram. Expressing satisfaction over the rainfall received in the state, Chief Minister Chouhan said that crops have got new lease of life due to this.
44% of the population has received first dose of corona vaccine
Chief Minister Chouhan said that 2 crore 42 lakh people have been given the first dose in the vaccination campaign in the state. In this way, the first dose has been administered to 44% of the eligible population of the state. The second dose of vaccine has also been administered to 47 lakh 30 thousand people in the state, which is 9% of the eligible population. Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts are going on continuously to vaccinate 11 people in the state through a vial for ten. In month of July, 25 lakh people have been vaccinated.
Maximum vaccination should be done in the month of August also. Efforts are being made for this.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed the ministers to continuously monitor the vaccination campaign in their districts. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the corona test should also continue in the state. Yesterday there were 11 new positive cases of corona. It is necessary to be vigilant regarding corona infection. Ministers should continuously motivate the general public to follow corona appropriate behaviour and for testing in their respective districts.
Students should come to school only with guardians’ permission
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the operation of schools has been started symbolically in the state. Ministers must inspect the arrangement of schools in their districts.
