Distribution of assistive devices to 4146 Divyangjans in Chhindwara
Chief Minister Chouhan virtually participated in the programme
 
Bhopal 31 July 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that our aim is to provide all the facilities to Divyangjan, which are necessary to lead a normal life. "I bow to the human sympathy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, who changed the thinking of the people by changing the disability into Divyangta."

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today distributed assistive devices to 4146 Divyangjans of Chhindwara district through video conferencing from his residence. The programme was presided over by the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar.

Accessories worth 4 crore 32 lakh distributed

In this online programme organised under the Adip scheme of the Government of India, Divyangjans were provided with 7 thousand 368 devices like Motorized Tricycle, Cervical Collar Tricycle, Wheel Chair, CP Chair, Crutch Axilla, Walking Stick, Rollator, NSI Kit, VTE Digital Type Hearing, Braille Cane Folding, ADL kits, cell phone, smart cane, smart phone, daisy flare as per requirement. Chief Minister Chouhan said that with the help of these devices, not only will the effect of disability be reduced, but physical efficiency will increase.

I am not weak by heart
While addressing the Divyangjans through video conferencing, Chief Minister Chouhan said that:

"Jiska koi ante hai, vo chhor nahi hun,
Sham ban kar dhal jaun, wo bhor nahi hun.
Kathnai kaisi, jab hausla saath hai mere,
Divyang tan se hun, par man se kamzor nahi hun."

Chief Minister Chouhan said that everyone has equal rights over the resources available on this Earth. Everyone should get the same environment and same facilities without any discrimination. True government is the one which takes the Divyang, destitute, elderly people etc. along with it and leaves no stone unturned for their welfare. Chief Minister Chouhan said that 1246 beneficiaries have been benefitted with an amount of Rs 22 crore 67 lakh under the Nishakt Vivah Protsahan Yojana for Divyangjan in Madhya Pradesh.

Give skill development training to Divyangjan

Chief Minister Chouhan said that I welcome the scheme of the Government of India to provide skill development training to the Divyangjan. Divyangjans should be trained in such tasks which they can do. This will help them in making them self-dependent.

33 crores paid under Divyang Pension Yojana

An amount of 33 crore 60 lakh monthly pension is being transferred to the accounts of 5 lakh 60 thousand Divyang people of the state at the rate of Rs 600 per month. In this, Rs 300 is given by the Government of India and Rs 300 is given by the state government. Apart from pension, additional assistance of Rs.600 is also being given to multiple and mentally Divyang persons. 57 crore 88 lakh was paid under this in the last 15 months. 62 laptops and 178 motorized tricycles were also distributed under Mukhyamantri Nishakt Shiksha Protsahan Yojana.

Identity given to transgenders

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in January 2021, for the first time in the country, 198 transgender persons have been issued identity cards in Bhopal. UID cards have been made available to 6 lakh 10 thousand Divyangjan of the state – Window to News
