Bhopal 08 August 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that our culture, morals, life values and civility say that proper selection of words is necessary. While presenting various subjects in Parliament and Vidhan Sabha, sometimes words which are outside the purview of common etiquette come out in anger, passion or indignation. The choice of words should be such that no one gets hurt. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the programme on the occasion of the release of the book "Asansadeeya Shabd evam Vyakyansh Sangarah" (Compilation of Unparliamentary Words and Phrases) prepared by the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. Speaker of the Assembly Girish Gautam, Leader of Opposition Kamal Nath, Home and Legislative Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra and former Legislative Affairs Minister and Chief Whip of the Opposition Dr. Govind Singh were present in this programme organised at Mansarovar Auditorium located in the Vidhan Sabha.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Parliament and Vidhan Sabha are temples of democracy. Here the members have the right to express their viewpoint. Parliament has a rich tradition of parliamentarians like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Indrajit Gupta, Somnath Chatterjee. Senior and experienced speakers have also made statements in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The publication of the book "Asansadeeya Shabd evam Vyakyansh Sangarah" by the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha is a commendable effort. This will increase the dignity of the MLAs and the House. This book will prove useful for everyone.
