Chief Minister Chouhan unveils statue of Dr. Ambedkar
Bhopal 15 August 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the country has entered the 75th year of independence today. On this day it is my pleasure that I have got the opportunity to unveil the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the struggle that Dr. Ambedkar underwent to provide justice to the backmost and the lowermost, continues to inspire us even today. This is the priority of our government. Efforts being made to effectively implement the concept of social justice were made possible by his ideas. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the virtual unveiling programme of the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, at Narsinghpur on the completion of the 75th year of independence. A 6 feet 5 inch high statue has been installed by the municipality in Ambedkar Park, Itwara Bazaar, Kandeli in Narsinghpur. Former MLA Shri Kailash Jatav was present in the programme organized in Narsinghpur.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the tireless efforts made by Dr. Ambedkar in the field of women’s education and his struggle for eradication of caste system has resulted in the right to equality, education, security, respect and employment for the deprived sections. The state government is following his path in this direction. A budget provision of Rs 19 thousand 980 crores has been made by the state government for the welfare of scheduled castes.
