Bhopal 24 August 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government is committed towards laying a network of industries in the state for Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. It is our endeavor that every section of the society equally participates in this entrepreneurial activity. Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution, gave the counrty its Constitution and the mantra of ‘to be educated, be organized and fight your battle’. The state government is determined to provide constitutional rights, protection and all opportunities for progress to those who are the backmost and bottommost place in the society.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the National Council meet of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DICCI). Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Food, Civil Supplies Minister Bisahulal Singh, DICCI Founder Padmashri Dr. Milind Kamble, National President Ravi Kumar Nara, TRIFED Managing Director Praveer Krishna and State President of DICCI Dr. Anil Sirvaiya was present. Information about the central and state schemes were given in the programme.

Necessary changes can be made in industry policies

Chief Minister Chouhan said that possibilities abound in the state. There are vast possibilities of entrepreneurship in the field of minerals, forest wealth, agricultural production and tourism. Necessary reforms can be made in the industrial policies to make them more practical and beneficial so as to motivate youth to set up their own enterprises. Chief Minister Chouhan said that students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are being provided quality education through Gyanodaya Vidyalaya and Eklavya Vidyalaya in the state. Arrangements have been made for minimum support price of forest produce in the state. The entire value chain from growing traditional medicinal and aromatic plants to their processing, branding, marketing and sale is being developed in tribal dominated areas through the Devaranya Yojana.

Need to develop youth as entrepreneurs

Chief Minister Chouhan praised Manohar Shyam’s paiting and Rekha Pendraram of Dindori for getting her product nationally recognized through branding of Kodo-Kutki. He said that youth are not being any support for this. It is necessary to develop them as entrepreneurs by providing them with necessary guidance and training for which every effort is being made by the state government.

Tribal youth should be connected with the processing of products

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh said that the tribals of the state contribute in the exploitation of mineral wealth, collection of forest wealth and agricultural production. By providing support, training and guidance to them they can be developed as entrepreneurs.

Workshop on entrepreneurship will be organized in every district

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Omprakash Sakhlecha said that workshops on entrepreneurship are being organized in every district of the state. Our aim is to provide necessary guidance to the youth at the district level to establish micro, small and medium industries.
