Second phase of Swanidhi Yojana launched
Bhopal 29 August 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government is continuously working for the welfare of the poor. Along with this, the quality of life of the poor is being improved through public welfare schemes. The government is determined to bring the light of development to the poor. We are working on the concept of inclusive development of the poor and Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas. In the state, arrangements of bread, clothes, houses, education and medicines are being ensured for the poor.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the state level programme of distribution of first and second installments under Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana at Balaghat today. Chief Minister Chouhan transferred an amount of 50 crores into the accounts of 50 thousand beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana with a single click. Chief Minister Chouhan also launched the second phase of Swanidhi Yojana. In the second phase of the scheme, interest free amount of 20 thousand rupees each was transferred into the accounts of the beneficiaries. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this scheme has become a lifeline for the small traders who are affected during the Covid crisis. He said that small businessman can gradually increase their work with the help of Swanidhi Yojana. The government is working with commitment for the welfare of the most backward and the lowest.
Madhya Pradesh tops in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is first in the country in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. At the very beginning of the scheme, about 3.50 lakh beneficiaries were disbursed assistance amounting to Rs.10 thousand each. Today, at the launch of the second phase of the scheme, the second installment of 20 thousand rupees each was given to about 1000 beneficiaries of the state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that small sections are getting the benefit of PM Swanidhi Yojana continuously. Due to this, the vehicle of his life is also running in Covid and other adverse conditions.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the help given to self-help groups before the Covid crisis will be started again by the government. He said that women have amazing creative power. Empowerment of the country and the state is not possible without the empowerment of women. For the empowerment of women, their economic empowerment is very important. Food grains are being made available to the poor at low prices during the Annontsav. He directed that no eligible poor should be deprived of the availability of food grains. Include missing names instantly. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the welfare of the poor is the top priority of the State Government. A house is also necessary for the poor along with bread. Chief Minister Chouhan said that pucca houses would be provided to all the poor in the state by the year 2024. The government will leave no stone unturned for the development of the poor. On the next 18th, 5 lakh new connections will be given in the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Appeal for vaccination
Chief Minister Chouhan said that everyone's cooperation is necessary to prevent the third wave of corona. He urged everyone to adopt covid friendly behaviour. Also appealed for vaccination. He said that the Covid vaccine is the vaccine of life, definitely get the vaccine. The person applying the first dose must get the second dose at their appointed time.
Interacted with beneficiaries
Chief Minister Chouhan held a live dialogue with the beneficiaries of different districts of the state who were benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. He interacted with Manik Pawar of Burhanpur, Rakesh of Sagar, Monu Jatav of Gunadoing cloth business, Sapna Gupta who is doing small business of cosmetics in Kothi Satna and Rakesh Gadwal doing wooden toys business in Budhni. Chief Minister Chouhan greeted all the beneficiaries while interacting intimately about their business and family.
Benefit distribution
Chief Minister Chouhan distributed benefits from the platform to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan also provided cheques of assistance to the children identified for Bal Hriday Upchar Yojana. Credit distribution of Rs 4 crore 26 lakh was also done to 318 women self-help groups of the district. Chief Minister Chouhan also met the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Anukampa Niyukti Yojana.
Inspection of stalls of schemes
Chief Minister Chouhan inspected the stalls set up by the departments for the exhibition of schemes in the programme. He also inquired about the identified product from Balaghat district and different types of paddy varieties grown in Balaghat under "One District-One Product".
Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh connected with Sagar through live broadcast. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government is doing commendable work in the entire country under the Pradhan Mantri's Swanidhi Yojana. Sagar district ranks first in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana in the entire state.
Khajuraho MP VD Sharma and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora also participated virtually in the programme. VD Sharma said that public welfare schemes are being run under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the on-ground implementation of these schemes is being done with sensitivity by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana is a big step towards self-reliance. In the first phase of this scheme, interest free 10 thousand rupees are provided to the beneficiary. On depositing this amount by the beneficiary, they are being provided 20 thousand by the government in the second phase.
