States solar energy rate lowest in the country: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 01 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the rate of solar energy in the state is the lowest in the country. On the strength of continuous innovations and technology, a tariff of Rs. 2 paise 14 per unit of solar energy is being provided in the state. Asia's first and largest solar plant was set up in the state at Neemuch. Solar power is being provided to Delhi Metro from model ​​plant in Rewa. Now world's largest floating solar park is being set up in Omkareshwar. Every effort is being made to overcome the shortage of electricity from solar energy, attract investment and protect the environment.

Chief Minister Chouhan presented letters of award to the developers of 1500 Megawatt solar projects at Agar, Shajapur and Neemuch. New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang, Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey were present in this programme organised in Minto Hall.

Investors are friends of the state - there is a better environment for industries in the state

It is necessary to pay attention to green energy for the safety of coming generation

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is necessary to control the carbon emission gases to reduce the ill effects of climate change and global warming. The supply of coal is necessary for thermal power planets, due to which the pressure on the forests increases. If we have to hand over nature safely to the coming generation, then we have to pay attention to "Green Energy - Clean Energy". Solar energy is renewable energy which will never run out. In Madhya Pradesh, the sunlight is continuously available for more than three hundred days of the year. Madhya Pradesh is the Green Lungs of India.

Letters of Award presented for Solar Parks of Agar, Shajapur and Neemuch

Chief Minister Chouhan presented Letters of Award to Beampow Energy Private Limited and Avaada Energy Limited for 550 Megawatt Solar Park in Agar, NTPC Renewable and Talettutayi Solar Projects for 450 MW Solar Park in Shajapur and TP Saurya Ltd., Mumbai and Al Jomaih Energy & Water Company, Dubai for 500 Megawatt Solar Park in Neemuch.

About Rs 76 hundred crore will be saved in state in 25 years

Minister Hardeep Singh Dang said that Madhya Pradesh is continuously setting records in establishment of solar power projects. In the recent bidding for 1500 Megawatt Agar-Shajapur-Neemuch Solar Park, the record of lowest solar tariff in the country has been set. With the establishment of these projects, there will be private investment of about Rs 5250 crore in the state. About Rs.7600 crore will be saved in the state in 25 years. The land for the projects has been allotted by the state government. The production target is set by March 2023. Minister Dang said that our department is the smallest but we are doing the biggest work for the security of the future. Energy Literacy Campaign is also being started in the state.
