State government committed to provide better health facilities
Medical institutions should be upgraded on priority basis
CM reviews Department of Health, Medical Education and AYUSH
Bhopal 01 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government is committed to provide better health services to the people of the state. Extensive work has been done to enhance health services. Availability of essential medicines and oxygen has been specially ensured by upgrading government medical institutions. Chief Minister Chouhan said that according to the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, the targets set in the field of health should be completed within the time-limit.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Department of Health, AYUSH and Medical Education in the presentation of the Public Health Group constituted under Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh at Mantralaya today. A presentation of departmental goals and achievements so far under Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh was given in the meeting. Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Commissioner Health Akash Tripathi, Commissioner Medical Education Nishant Warvade, Director NHM Sushri Priyanka Das and other officials were present. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang virtually attended the meeting.
Verification of 2.53 crore Ayushman cards
Chief Minister Chouhan said that every scheme of the Health Department is operated for the benefit of the common man. It should be our endeavour to ensure that everyone gets the benefit of these schemes. The health schemes should be extensively publicized, so that common citizens can be aware of the schemes and avail its benefits. It was informed in the meeting that online facility is being made available for making and enrolling Ayushman cards. A total of 2 crore 53 lakh Ayushman cards have been verified in the state so far.
Strict action should be taken against the operators who make nursing centers a business.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the field of health is the area of human service. FIR should be registered against the nursing center operators who are using the centres for fundraising instead of being of service to people. Our priority is to provide better health services to every needy in the state.
Upgradation of health and wellness centers
Additional Chief Secretary Health Suleman informed that 5091 sub-health centers are being upgraded into health and wellness centers in the state. Under this, 71 percent of the target has been completed. The selection process for posting of Community Health Officers has begun at 2850 sub-health centers. Apart from this, 1134 primary health centers have been upgraded into health and wellness centres. 95 percent of the set target has been completed. 128 types of medicines have been made available at these centres. Instructions have been issued to the districts to provide medicines as per the prescribed essential medicine list.
100 percent Ayush health centers identified
It was informed in the meeting that 100 percent work of identification of AYUSH health and wellness centers has been completed. Yoga practice has been started in 362 centers through yoga teachers. About 50 percent work of setting up of AYUSH super specialty hospitals in Bhopal and Indore has been completed.
Complete vaccination of 55 lakh children will be ensured annually
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated the need to speed up the work of family planning once again. It was informed in the meeting that the registration of pregnant mothers has been started on the Anmol portal. Under this, about 14 lakh couples have been benefited in the last two years. Full immunization has been ensured annually for 55 lakh children below 5. The target of 90 percent vaccination has been ensured in the next 6 months.
Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed the work being done for eradication of T.B. It was told that in the year 2020-21, one lakh 75 thousand 130 patients were treated successfully. A total of 60 thousand 997 patients were treated in the year 2021-22. In the initial stage, spraying of drugs and other necessary steps have been taken for prevention of TB. DBT payment of Rs 49.50 crore was made to 2 lakh 13 thousand 192 patients in the year 2020-2021, and Rs 18.61 crore to one lakh 3 thousand 250 patients in the year 2021-22.
Number of MBBS seats increased
It was informed in the meeting that the admission capacity of medical colleges has been increased. 100 seats have been increased for MBBS in medical colleges of Bhopal and Indore.
