Necessary arrangements with full alertness for a possible third wave
Bhopal 03 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the collective efforts made to check the effect of corona infection in the state have been more successful than anticipated. According to medical experts, in view of the possible third wave of corona, the state government has made necessary arrangements with medical oxygen and essential medicines in the entire state with utmost care. Along with these arrangements, it is necessary that the people of the state adopt the appropriate behaviour of the corona protocol and remain aware and make other people aware as well.
CT scan system
Chief Minister Chouhan said that taking lessons from what we have lost in the first and second wave of corona, all those arrangements have been ensured, due to which we will not allow the effect of third wave of corona to increase. Chief Minister
Chouhan said that we have also decided that the
system of CT scan should be made available in all the districts by the month of October. So far, the work of installing 32 slice CT scan machines in 30 districts is in the final stage. Soon CT scan machines will also be installed in all the districts.
Competition in state for vaccination
Chief Minister Chouhan said that corona vaccine is the most effective way to prevent corona infection. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a great job by providing adequate vaccine dosages to Madhya Pradesh. The people of Madhya Pradesh have also got the vaccine administered on a large scale, respecting the sentiments of the Prime Minister. The result of the massive public participation of the people of the state in vaccination was that Madhya Pradesh has created a national record. The percentage of people getting vaccinated in the state is continuously increasing. In the metropolitan category, Indore city was the first to prove that the state is moving towards freedom from corona by giving the first dose of the vaccine to the target group. Along with this, information about cent percent vaccination is being received in many panchayats, urban bodies and now development blocks of Madhya Pradesh. He said that recently Budhni development block of Sehore district has also become cent percent vaccinated. There is an atmosphere of competition in the entire state for vaccination. At present, about 6 lakh vaccine doses are being administered daily even in the normal vaccination session.
Increase in ICU, oxygen beds
Chief Minister Chouhan said that facilities are being expanded continuously in government health institutions. 784 ICU beds have been made functional in these institutions. By September, 650 additional ICU beds will be functional. 11 thousand 156 oxygen beds have been made functional in these institutions. By the month of September, their total number will be 14 thousand 255. In the COVID-19 scenario, there were 2993 ICU beds in government medical colleges. By September, their number will increase to 3438 with an additional 445 beds. Keeping in view the possibility of babies getting infected in the third wave of Covid-19, in addition to the available 200 paediatric ICU beds, 350 new pediatric ICU beds are being arranged. Similarly, 320 new paediatric ICU beds and 992 new paediatric oxygen beds are being arranged for the treatment of children in the institutions of the health department.
Arrangement of physicians and staff
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process of filling up the posts of doctors, nursing and paramedical staff is also almost complete. The process of recruitment for 429 posts of Radiographer, Lab Technician and Ophthalmic Technician has also been completed.
Ayushman card
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is being operated with full sensitivity in the state. So far Ayushman cards have been issued to more than 2 crore 52 lakh beneficiaries under the scheme. There is a provision to provide free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries of the scheme in government hospitals as well as in identified private health institutions. So far, claims amounting to about 1200 crores have been sanctioned for the treatment of more than 9 lakh 13 thousand beneficiaries through a growing network of 898 empanelled private and government hospitals.
