CM Chouhan congratulates winners of medals

Bhopal 03 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed joy over the continuous achievements of the India sportspersons in the Tokyo Para Olympics. Chief Minister Chouhan has congratulated Sushri Avani Lakhera, who created history by winning bronze medal in rifle shooting today.

Avani has received two medals this week. On August 30, Avani Lakhera won the gold medal by securing first position in 10m air rifle shooting. Today again she bagged a bronze medal in 50m rifle shooting. Avani has become the first Indian woman to have bagged two medals simultaneously in the Olympics or Paralympics. This is certainly not an ordinary achievement. Avani has made India proud.

Chief Minister Chouhan has also congratulated Harvinder Singh for winning bronze medal in Para Archery for India in Tokyo Para Olympics. He said that it is the result of the dedication and passion of the players that today we have got these medals. It may be noted here that today Praveen Kumar has also won silver medal for India in high jump.
