New Madhya Pradesh Bhawan will manifest States splendour

Bhopal 08 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today inspected the under-construction building of New Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in Delhi and directed that efforts should be made to manifest the state's capital splendour in the new building. Chouhan said that not just modern facilities but also the values, traditions, beliefs, architecture, natural beauty and ideals of great personalities of Madhya Pradesh should be incorporated in the New Bhawan.

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the traditions and beliefs of Madhya Pradesh as expressed in Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas, Amarkantak, Mitawali Temple, Sandipani Ashram and Ram Raja Temple of Orchha as well as architectural marvels like Sanchi, Khajuraho, Asirgarh and Mandu should be included in the new building in some or the other form. There should also be a glimpse of the ideals of freedom fighters and revolutionaries of the state like Raghunath Shah, Shankar Shah, Tantya Bhil, Bhimanayak and Rani Lakshmi Bai. The landscaping of the building should include the natural beauty of the national parks and tribal art of the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the facilities of the New Bhavan should be such that the Govt. meetings and business meetings can be conducted there and there is an requirement for meeting space for such events. He told that efforts should be made to construct such a building which has a glimpse of culture of Madhya Pradesh on one hand and ease of conducting administrative work on the other hand.

Earlier senior officers of NBCC apprised Mr. Chouhan about the progress of the construction of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and made a presentation through drawings and also obtained necessary instructions from the Chief Minister. Residential Commissioner, Additional Residential Commissioner and other Officers of Madhya Pradesh Government were also present during the event – Window to News
