Plans should be reviewed on the basis of ground implementation: Governor Patel

Bhopal 21 September 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the schemes should be reviewed on the basis of implementation on the ground. Officers should undertake continuous tour of the area. He said that the implementation work should be reviewed on a practical basis considering the aim of the scheme.

Governor Patel was discussing with the officers regarding various schemes of Panchayat and Rural Development Department at Raj Bhavan today. Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel were also present.

Governor Patel has told the officials that the intention and success of the scheme should be decided on the basis of its ground nature. For this it is necessary that the officers should review the implementation of the scheme on the spot. They should get information by communicating with the villagers. He stressed on ensuring the quality of construction works. Explained the need for regular monitoring of works at various stages of construction. He told the officers that if any deficiency or irregularity is found in the work, then it can be rectified in the initial stage itself.

Governor Patel said that the spirit of the worker is very important in the success of any work. He said that the work done for the poor and needy gives immense self-satisfaction and joy. Governer Patel was told that under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, 150 days of employment is provided in a year to the families of forest land title holders and 100 days to others under the Forest Rights Act 2006. Under the scheme, 162 types of works are done for the creation of permanent assets along with employment. It has also been made mandatory to have 30 percent women's participation in employment generation.
