Bhopal 24 September 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that full attention should be paid to complete the construction projects in the state with quality and within time-limit. He directed to terminate the agency responsible for delay in the sewerage scheme of Rewa under AMRUT scheme. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing projects under Project Management Framework in Pragati Online-13 in Mantralaya.

Delay in public works will not be tolerated

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there should be no delay in public works related to public welfare. The land was made available in Rewa in March 2017 under the sewerage scheme. Only one-fourth construction has been completed in the project having total cost of Rs 199 crore 73 lakh. The work was to be completed by the end of 2019. The construction agency did not deploy manpower and machinery in sufficient quantity, due to which the services have not become available to the general public on time. The construction agency was also given show cause notice for termination in the past. Chief Minister Chouhan said that laxity will not be tolerated in such works related to the public.

Work of NHAI commended

Chief Minister Chouhan praised the National Highway Authority of India for the good pace of work in Rewa-Sidhi, Churhat Bypass Twin Road Tunnel work. In this route of total 13.06 km, 2.29 km tunnel is also being constructed. The cost of the work is Rs 703 crore. This work will be completed eight months before the deadline in July 2022.

Complete the work on time by removing the obstacles in the construction of the fly-over of Jabalpur

Chief Minister Chouhan said that work should be completed on time by removing the obstacles in the construction of fly-over of Jabalpur. 105 encroachments are also to be removed for the construction of fly-over. Chief Minister Chouhan directed Collector Jabalpur to ensure completion of work by May 2023 by making necessary coordination after contacting all other departments and agencies including Railways at the time of construction of fly-over. At present, an amount of Rs 102 crore has been spent on the work of fly-over of 5.905 km length from Damoh Naka to Ranital, Madan Mahal. The total cost of the work is Rs 767 crore 99 lakh. With the construction of the flyover, a large population of Jabalpur urban area, which is densely populated, will get a lot of convenience in transportation.

Review of projects of Khandwa, Dhar and Jhabua

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed to complete the works of Chhegaon-Makhan Irrigation Project in Khandwa district, Petlawad-Thandla-Sardarpur Micro Irrigation Project in Dhar and Jhabua district without delay in Pragati Online 13. For the project of Khandwa, irrigation facility is being developed in 35 thousand hectare by Narmada Valley Development Department at a cost of Rs 536 crore 99 lakh. A total of 73 villages will be benefitted. This work will be completed in May 2022. Irrigation facilities will be expanded in 66 villages of Dhar district and 153 villages of Jhabua district through micro irrigation project at a cost of Rs.1699 crore 83 lakh in 57 thousand 422 hectares in Dhar and Jhabua districts. The project is targeted to be completed by January 2023.
