CM Chouhan gives many gifts to women to make them self-dependent
Food allowance of Rs 22.70 crore distributed to women of Sahariya, Baiga and Bharia tribes
Rs 163 crore 28 lakh relief amount given to flood victims
 
Bhopal  01 October 2021:  Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that now instead of contractors, women of self-help groups will run nutritious food factories in Madhya Pradesh. The profit from this will also go into the account of the women of self-help groups. Along with this, the government will do everything possible to empower women. The women of the group will do the work of sewing school uniforms and ration shops will also be operated through the women of the groups. Crop procurement work will also be given to women of self-help groups. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing women empowerment programme under Jan-Kalyan and Suraaj Abhiyan at Shivpuri district headquarters on Friday.

Rs 250 crores of credit linkage distributed to self-help groups

Chief Minister Chouhan distributed financial assistance of Rs.250 crore under credit linkage to 20 thousand women self-help groups of the state through a single click. Food allowance of Rs 22 crore 77 lakh was distributed to 2 lakh 27 thousand 687 women of Sahariya, Baiga and Bharia tribes and Rs 163 crore 28 lakh relief amount was distributed to the flood victims through a single click. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 80 development works costing Rs 305 crore in Shivpuri district.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also joined the programme virtually from Delhi. Shivpuri district in-charge and Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Minister of State for Public Works Suresh Dhakad and MP K.P. Yadav, MLA Virendra Raghuvanshi, Sitaram Adivasi and women members of self-help groups took part.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government has decided that factories for preparing nutritious food in Madhya Pradesh will be run by only women of self-help groups and no contractors. We have made the women of the group the owners of factories. Earlier these factories were run by contractors through MP Agro. Work worth Rs 800 crores was done annually from these factories. Now this work will be done through the women of self-help groups and their benefits will also reach their account directly. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of preparing nutritious food for children can be done best by women.

Uniforms’ stitching, ration shops and procurement work now given to women’s groups

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to empower women, it has been decided that now the work of sewing uniforms of school children in the state will not be done by any contractor but through women of self-help groups. The women of the group will themselves buy the cloth and sew it. Its full profit will go to their account. Chief Minister Chouhan also said that now the work of running ration shops in the state and buying food grains at support price will also be given to the women of self-help groups.

Sambal Yojan relaunched

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the poor and farmers. We have now relaunched the Sambal Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government stands with the victims in every hour of crisis. Be it Covid-19 or the disaster of floods, the government has also provided all possible help to the affected by standing with them. Funds have also been provided to the people whose crops were affected by the floods.

Our resolve is to provide housing to all the homeless

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is our resolve to provide housing to every homeless. Husband, wife and children will be considered as units and housing pattas will be provided to them. Chief Minister Chouhan called upon everyone in the meeting to educate their sons and daughters. The state government will bear the expenses for the education of children from financially weak families.

Today is a historic day: Union Minister Scindia

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today is a very historic day for Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has today handed over the keys to women of self-help groups for women empowerment by making them the owners of factories for preparing nutritious food. Union Minister Scindia said that the works done in the direction of women empowerment under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan are imitable. Many of the schemes run in the state have been accepted and implemented by other states of the country. Scindia said that exemplary work of crediting one thousand rupees per month in the accounts of Saharia women is being done in the state to eradicate malnutrition. He said that the state and the country can move ahead quickly on the path of progress only with the empowerment of women.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that the work done by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the field of women empowerment is echoed not only in Madhya Pradesh but in the entire country. 40 lakh girls have been benefitted in the state by Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Girls study and move ahead. For this, cycles have been provided to thousands of girls. Minister Smt. Scindia said that moving even further women of self-help groups have also been made owners of factories preparing nutritious food in the state. This is a historic work in the interest of women.

Sports Minister Smt. Scindia said that whether it is the time of Covid-19 crisis or the flood tragedy in the region, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has extended all possible help in the hour of crisis and has done the work to rescue the people from the crisis.

In-charge of Shivpuri district and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia said that the works being done under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the direction of women empowerment in Madhya Pradesh are highly laudable. Historical steps have been taken in the state to empower the women of self-help groups. The operation of the factory for preparing nutritious food has been given to the women of self-help groups. The sisters of self-help groups will become owners of 7 factories operating in the state. In-charge Minister Sisodia said that many schemes are being run in the state for the welfare of women. In view of the successful implementation of many schemes like Ladli Laxmi and Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, other states of the country have also implemented them in their state. Sisodia informed that now an app has also been made in the state for the sale of products made by self-help groups. Through this, the materials prepared by the group will be made available in the market for sale.

Local MP KP Yadav said that along with development works in the state, works of public welfare are also being done expeditiously under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He said that Shivpuri district has immense potential for tourism. The processing unit will also prove useful for tomato, coriander and other products grown around the district. In view the forest area, he also expressed the need to set up a medicine manufacturing unit.

Bank loan cheques were given to self-help groups in the programme. Citations were given to the bank managers who did remarkable work.

Plantation done in stadium premises

Chief Minister Chouhan planted a Peepal sapling in the stadium premises at the venue. Apart from this, Saptaparni, Pride of India saplings were planted. The programme was inaugurated with Kanya-Pujan.

Women in the group shared experiences

 Kishori Rawat, resident of village Nohrikala of Shivpuri, Jyoti Sharma, resident of Mudheri, Saroj Kushwaha of village Barkhadi of Narwar and Durgesh Raja of Nagrela told that they started economic activities by joining the group and today they are self-dependent and are getting financial benefits. Chief Minister Chouhan also honoured these women. The women of the group presented the materials prepared by them to the Chief Minister and other guests.
