CM Chouhan presents National Mahatma Gandhi Awards on Gandhi Jayanti
 
Bhopal 02 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that life can be meaningful only by adopting the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. By following the path shown by Gandhiji and Gurudev, man can become the creator of his destiny. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the National Mahatma Gandhi Award Ceremony and “Ekai Ram Rahim” Bhajan Sandhya organized under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at Ravindra Bhavan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Chief Minister Chouhan honored two organizations working according to Gandhi’s philosophy with the National Mahatma Gandhi Award. For the year 2019, the organization Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar of Haridwar and for the year 2020 Bhatke Vimukt Vikas Pratishthan, an organization of Osmanabad, were honored. Culture, Tourism and Spirituality Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, Dr. Chinmay Pandya of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar (Haridwar), Dr. Suvarna Rawal, President of Bhatke Vimukt Vikas Pratishthan, Principal Secretary Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Director Culture Aditi Kumar Tripathi along with dignitaries were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan honored Dr. Chinmay Pandya of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar and Dr. Suvarna Rawal, President of Bhatke Vimukt Vikas Pratishthan by presenting an income tax free amount of Rs 10 lakh, Samman Pattika, shawl and shriphal to each institution in the National Mahatma Gandhi Samman. The National Mahatma Gandhi Award is an important state honor given to any organization in the field of social work.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is proud to be honouring both the institutions. The Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar is our own family. I am proud to say that it is only by the grace of Param Pujya Gurudev that I am able to do my work with renewed energy. He said that Gurudev’s blessings are always with him. Although Gurudev is not in our midst today, we will continue to receive his blessings. Following the path shown by him, crores of people are moving ahead on their duty path. Similarly, Gurudev should give us the strength to move on the virtuous path.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is committed for the development of nomadic tribes. In the past, a panchayat of nomadic families was convened at the Chief Minister’s residence, in which a roadmap was made for their welfare. The state government will continue to make efforts for their welfare. He said that the government requires the cooperation of the society in this work.

Awareness of the society is necessary for the development of the state. Gayatri Parivar is playing its important role in awakening the society. He said that I resolved to plant a tree every day.
Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to honor the institutions working on Gandhian philosophy. Chief Minister Chouhan is making continuous efforts to make women self-reliant. In the programme, Dr. Chinmoy Pandya, Dr. Suvarna Rawal gave their views and informed them about their institutions. Principal Secretary Culture Shiv Shekhar Shukla read out the citations given to the institutions. Culture Director Aditi Kumar Tripathi threw light on the outline of the programme.

Chief Minister Chouhan released a photo album based on Gandhi’s yatras in Madhya Pradesh. He also dedicated Heritage sarees made by women’s self-help group Kala and Udyamita Dhar. Dr. Pandya of Gayatri Parivar honored Chief Minister Chouhan and Culture Minister Sushri Thakur with Gangajal and by giving pictures – Window to News
