Chief Minister Chouhan pays tribute to Dr. Abdul Kalam

Bhopal 15 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today paid obeisance to former President and eminent scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary. Chouhan garlanded the portrait of Dr. Kalam in the Chief Minister’s residence hall.

Dr. Kalam is also known as Missile Man. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Dhanushkodi, Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He was the 11th President of the Republic of India.
Dr. Kalam served as a scientist and science administrator for the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for four decades. He was instrumental in the development of India’s space programme and military missiles. He played a decisive, organizational and technical role in nuclear testing. Dr. Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015.
