Chief Minister Chouhan seeks details about preparations
Bhopal 21 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the participation of every citizen is necessary in the campaign for the development of Madhya Pradesh and to make the state self-reliant. For this, efforts must be made to connect every citizen through a campaign. All programmes should be completed in a dignified manner at the state level main function being held on the theme of state’s foundation day festival. In a meeting held at his residence today, Chief Minister Chouhan gave these instructions while seeking information about the preparations being made in connection with the 66th Foundation Day celebrations of the state. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains was present in the meeting. On November 1st, the main function will be organized by the Culture Department at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal in the evening. On the same day, a traditional programme will also be held at Mantralaya in the forenoon, in which officers and employees will participate in the rendition of Vande Mataram. Framework for organizing programmes in districts also has been prepared.

A dance-drama on the theme of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh will be organized in the Lal Parade ceremony, in which the dancers will call upon people for ‘Hum kar sakte hai aur karenge’ (We can do it and will do it). This presentation has been rehearsed on stage. The performance has been choreographed with special lighting combinations and catchy dance postures.
Start campaign for public participation
Chief Minister Chouhan said that after recovering from Corona situation, people are willing to engage in entertainment programmes and meaningful creative activities with adequate precautions. All arrangements should be finalized as per the Covid protocol in the main programme of the state’s foundation day celebration. Even at the time of the ceremony, measures like social distancing, use of masks etc. should be adopted right through the seating arrangements till the completion of all the programmes. Chief Minister Chouhan said that common people must participate along with government departments in the important work of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. For this, such a campaign should also be started from November 1st, so that people are motivated to do best work in various fields, new dimensions should be established by participating in the conduct of development related activities with collective participation. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this is the time when every person should reflect on his role for progress and also give results. Rights as well as civic duties should be considered. Efforts should be made to make positive changes in every field. A sense of responsibility should also be created among different sections of the society.
Playback singer Mohit Chauhan will attend the main ceremony
In the meeting, Principal Secretary Culture, Tourism and Public Relations Sheo Shekhar Shukla informed that the main ceremony will start from 6:30 pm on November 1st at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. First of all there will be the Madhya Pradesh anthem. This will be followed by the address of the Minister of Culture. There will be a 45-minute group dance-theatrical presentation on Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Around 250 artists will participate in it. In the function, Chief Minister Chouhan will also administer oath to the citizens for the building of a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. Eminent singer Mohit Chauhan, Mumbai will present songs with his team at 8 pm. This programme will be of 90 minutes duration.
There will also be a short presentation on the heritage of the state
A short programme focusing on the characteristics of Madhya Pradesh will also be presented in the main function. Eminent artist Maitreyi Pahari will perform along with her cast. Glimpses of the archaeological heritage of the state will also be a part of the main function of the foundation day, in which the features of Bhimbethka, Omkareshwar, Sanchi, Ujjain and other prominent places will be included.
Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar Samman to be held separately
It was informed in the meeting that in the past, there was an idea to give the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar Samman on the foundation day ceremony by the Madhya Pradesh government, but now this award ceremony will be held separately in Khandwa and Indore.
