CM Rise School Yojana important for ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh’

Bhopal 27 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that CM Rise School Yojana will play an important role in the direction of ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh". The objective of this ambitious scheme in the field of education is to provide high quality education to the school students, improve the learning outcomes of the students and enable the schools to achieve national and international standards. Also, excellent and quality education will be provided to school students by developing a holistic personality development system.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that providing quality education to the students in the state is an important priority of the state government, for which combined efforts are required. Keeping this in mind, 9 thousand 200 well-equipped ‘CM Rise Schools’ will be opened in the state in the light of National Education Policy 2020. For this, a provision of Rs 1500 crore has been made in the budget. In this financial year, 350 government schools are being developed as CM Rise Schools. Also school buildings at a cost of Rs 18 to 24 crores will be constructed. One CM Rise School will be set up in every 25-30 km radius in different areas of the state. In the next three years, children of classes KG to XII will study in the same complex in these schools. 95 CM Rise Schools will also be opened in tribal areas. All the departments will jointly support in the implementation of this scheme.
Holistic personality development of students
In view of national and international competitions like National Achievement Survey, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) and Olympiad Examination, students in these schools will be provided learning based on understanding, application and reasoning rather than just knowledge based education. For the development of the overall personality of the students, activities of various useful subjects like literary, cultural, folk art, environment, science, traffic safety, sports, yoga, etc. will be organized.
International quality education will be imparted in schools while inculcating a culture of excellence, along with attitudinal transformation of students, developing evidence based scientific temper, and enhancing creativity and self-confidence. There will also be a system of vocational education keeping in mind the interest and skills of the students, so that along with education, students will be able to develop their economic understanding along with learning the knowhow of livelihood. In this way, there will be all-round development of the students in CM Rise School, which will become the basis of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh.
CM Rise Schools will be developed with international standards
CM Rise Schools will be developed on international standards. The schools will have facilities like good infrastructure, transport for every student, nursery/KG classes, 100 percent teachers, smart class and digital learning, well equipped laboratories, rich library and play ground. To ensure excellent education of students in these schools, teachers awarded in various fields will be interviewed and selected. Teachers will be trained on school development leadership, exemplary teaching-learning process, teaching development and empowerment, community engagement and resource management. The participation of parents will be ensured to bring efficiency in the management and operation of these elite schools.
