Special campaign for Corona vaccination will start from November 15

Bhopal 29 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a special campaign will be launched from November 15 for the people of the state who have not got the first and second dose of Corona vaccine. The state government is committed to ensure 100 percent vaccination by December 31 in the entire state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that special arrangements for Corona testing and vaccination should be ensured in the upcoming events in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation of Corona in the state. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present in the meeting organized at his residence.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Corona is under control in the state, yet there is need for constant awareness. A special campaign will be run by the state government on awareness for Corona appropriate behavior and vaccination. Vaccination is necessary to save the lives of the people of the state. Intensive campaign will be conducted to make people aware. School and college children will also be involved in the campaign so that parents can be motivated too for vaccination. Instructions have been given to call those who have not got the second dose, from the call center. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that the process of testing should continue. Intensive testing should be continued in districts like Bhopal, Indore, where cases of Corona are relatively frequent.

It was informed that 58 thousand RTPCR tests are being conducted daily in the state. There are only 09 Corona cases in the state today. The total above 18 population in the state is 05 crore 49 lakh 50 thousand, out of which 04 crore 98 lakh 50 thousand have got the first dose and 02 crore people have got the second dose. In this way 91 percent of the first dose and 36 percent of the eligible population have got the second dose.

Three districts of the state namely Bhopal, Indore and Agar have registered 100 percent vaccinations of first dose. In Chhindwara, 97 percent and in Umaria 95 percent of the first dose vaccination has been done. The percentage is between 90 and 95 percent in 23 districts. In 17 districts it is between 85 to 90 percent and in Dewas, Alirajpur, Panna, Khargone, Sidhi and Bhind the percentage of first dose vaccination is between 80 and 85 percent. In the second dose, 59 percent population in Bhopal and Indore. In Bhopal, 70 percent and in Indore 50 percent of the eligible population are such, who have got the first dose but their second dose of vaccine is still pending – Window to News
