Bhopal 29 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that farmers should rest assured, we are doing our level best to make arrangements of fertilizers and we are also getting full cooperation of the Government of India in this. No need to worry, just be patient this is my request. Yesterday, I had informed the farmers that by October 31, 31 rakes would be delivered in the state. Now instead of 31, 32 rakes are coming in the state. I am in constant touch with the Government of India. Even today, I have discussed over phone with the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mansukh Mandaviya regarding the supply. He has assured that Madhya Pradesh will get urea and DAP as per requirement for November. Farmers need not worry. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the status of availability of fertilizers in the state from his residence. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Ajit Kesari and other officers were present in the meeting. Chief Minister Chouhan said this in a message issued to the media after review.
It was informed in the meeting that, 6 lakh metric tonnes of urea and 6 lakh metric tonnes of DAP have been released for the month of November for the state by the center. Hence, there will be no shortage of manure in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that farmers should leave the mentality of manure shortage. This results in a tendency to buy more manure. Adequate manure is being supplied by the central government in the month of November.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the supply of fertilizers and equitable distribution of fertilizers in the districts should be continuously monitored by a control room. Those who are buying more fertilizers than necessary, should be kept under watch. Collectors should make people aware about the supply of fertilizers and the arrangements being made by the state government at their level. Chief Minister Chouhan said that strict instructions have been issued to the district administration that those who do black marketing of fertilizers will be sent to jail under NSA. Those selling manure in black would be washed out – Window to News
