National Ayurveda Day and Dhanwantri Jayanti programme concludes
Bhopal 30 October 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that it is necessary to apply knowledge in life. Good things should not be kept in mind but should be in practice. Despite having the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong for health, not following it is the cause of health problems.
Governor Patel was addressing a programme of National Ayurveda Day and Dhanwantri Jayanti at Minto Hall today. The programme was organized under the joint aegis of Pt. Khushi Lal Sharma Shaskiya Ayurveda Sansthan and Arogya Bharti.
Governor Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that Jaan hai to jahan hai. It is important to understand this. He said that the tobacco crop is not fenced because it is not eaten by animals. The warning of being dangerous to health is inscribed on the cigarette box. Still people consume tobacco and smoke cigarettes. It is the responsibility of the individual to take care of his health and take precautions. He said that many people have the knowledge of health through Ayurveda. The need is to adopt it. Diet is very important for a healthy life. Efforts should be made to increase awareness in the society regarding the properties of herbs and plants. Governor Patel inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. He released the souvenir. Homeopath N. Soliappan of Jabalpur and Vanshvardhan Tiwari, Ayurvedacharya of Rewa were honored for their excellent services.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) of AYUSH Ramkishore Kanwre informed that many types of herbs are available in the state. Herbal Garden has been created. Research work is also being done in colleges. He said that during the Corona pandemic, the department has stepped forward and cooperated in the works of treatment and prevention. Through the online programme of 'Yoga Se Nirog, efforts were made to increase positivity and boost the morale of Covid victims. Wellness centers were run for public awareness about diet and lifestyle. Efforts have been made to increase immunity in villages.
The keynote speaker of the programme Dr. Ashok Kumar Varshney said that the country is celebrating the 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. He called upon the people present in the programme to create awareness about health among 75 individuals and families. Take care of your health as your right and duty. He told that according to an estimate 83 percent diseases are lifestyle borne. They can be prevented by making lifestyle changes.
In the programme, General Secretary Arogya Bharti Sunil Joshi threw light on the work of the organization. He said that the organization makes efforts to spread health awareness and lifestyle related information extensively. He said that the organization includes people from all walks of society including doctors, students. All the people who are ready for social service for health are welcomed in the institution.
