Bhopal 31 October 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tributes to Iron Man Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary by garlanding his portrait. Chief Minister Chouhan also remembered the contribution made by Sardar Patel in nation building.

Sardar Vallabh Bbhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875 in Nadiad in a farming family. Sardar Patel was a freedom fighter and the first home minister of independent India. He was instrumental in the freedom struggle, due to which he is also called the Iron Man of India. Sardar Patel got the name Sardar, after Bardoli Satyagraha. He was first called Sardar of Bardoli for carrying out a powerful Satyagraha in Bardoli town. Later Sardar was associated with his name.
