Govardhan Puja is a message to save environment: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 05 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Govardhan Puja gives us the message of saving the environment. God has made this earth not only for human beings, but also for animals, plants, trees, vegetation, aquatics and animals living on it. Lord Krishna gave the message of Govardhan Puja thousands of years ago. In the pursuit of progress, man has created environmental imbalance. In such times, we all should try to save the environment.

Chief Minister Chouhan today offered prayers at his residence on the occasion of Govardhan Puja along with his family. He also performed parikrama of the Govardhan mountain. Chief Minister Chouhan’s wife Sadhna Singh and son Kunal were also present. Chouhan worshiped gaumata and her calves and fed them with prasad and food.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that we should worship trees and mountains. We should be sensitive towards animals and birds also. Worshipping gaumata also means the same. There are 33 crore Gods and Goddesses in the Gau Mata. We all should also take a pledge to protect and promote nature and the cow.
