Government and law both in support of women: Governor Patel

Report of survey conducted by women on status of women presented to the Governor
 
Bhopal 07 November 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that effective efforts are being made for the social and economic empowerment of women in the country. He said that both our law and the government are helping women to move forward. Today the issue has become not about women’s development but development from women.
Governor Patel was addressing the survey report presentation meeting on the status of women by Mahila Samanvay Madhya Bharat prant today.

Governor Patel said that today’s time is very good for women. The outcome of many programmes and schemes run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the empowerment of women has started becoming visible. He said that for inclusive development, it is necessary that those who are ahead, progressive, should take responsibility for the development and welfare of the needy and deprived. They should help and guide them in bringing to the mainstream. He appreciated the survey work done by women activists regarding the status of women in a comprehensive and systematic manner. Governor Patel said that this is a commendable and exemplary effort to cooperate with the government and the society. He said that the facts and information of various aspects related to the life of women will be helpful in bringing about a change in the attitude and thinking of the society towards the social and economic life of women.

All India Co-convener of Mahila Samanvay and Keynote Speaker Sushri Meenakshi Pishwe informed about the aspects of the survey, its structure and objectives. Coordinator Mahila Samanvay Madhya Bharat State Sushri Shashi Thakur presented the survey report. She read out the recommendations of the survey. The vote of thanks was given by the Central Zone Coordinator, Sushri Shobha Paithankar. The programme was conducted by Sushri Nivedita Sharma.
