CM Chouhan took part in Chhath Puja Mahaparva at Sheetaldas ki Bagiya
Bhopal 10 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Chhath Puja Mahaparv started from Bihar and gradually it has become a big festival of the entire country. Bihar is a state to be proud of, there is no dearth of talent here. People of Bihar are also residing in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is our own state. The government stands with you on this great festival of Chhath Puja to take the state ahead. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the devotees at Chhath Puja Mahaparv organized by Bhojpuri Ekta Manch Samiti in Sheetaldas ki Bagiya today.
Former Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki was present as the special guest. Chief Minister Chouhan donated a diya at Sheetaldas ki Bagiya Ghat. He also honored social workers and committee members for their special work.
Festival of nature worship
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Chhath Puja is a great festival to worship nature. Extending greetings for the great festival, he said that we pray to Chhath Mata that everyone should be happy, everyone should be healthy, everyone should have good luck and prosperity. May Happiness, Prosperity, Riddhi-Siddhi come in everyone’s life. He said that in this Mahaparv, women observe fast for 72 hours. This is an amazing tradition, I salute this tradition.
Observe two more fasts
Chief Minister Chouhan said that on the occasion of Chhath Puja, take two more fasts. Resolve to plant a tree on every occasion of joy and those who have not got the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine, should get it. We have to stop the third wave of Corona in our country and state. Only the penance of your fast can save you from the third wave of Corona.
Former Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki said that this festival is known for worshipping the Sun. The Sun is needed by the whole world. The Sun is important for the entire creation. He said that Chhath Puja Mahaparva is a symbol of worship of nature. The tradition of worshiping nature in India is thousands of years old. Women have a big contribution behind Chhath Puja. If women are empowered and aware the society will progress.
