Tribal Pride Day is an occasion for manifestation of joy: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 12 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Tribal Pride Day is an occasion for the manifestation of joy. The birth anniversary of Amar Shaheed Bhagwan Birsa Munda i.e. November 15 will prove to be a day that will change the lives of tribal brethren. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the programmes for the development and welfare of tribes. Tribals coming from different districts of the state to attend the meeting of Prime Minister Modi are our guests. Those coming to the capital will be welcomed with respect and hospitality in accordance with the rich tradition of Bhopal. Many social and private organizations are also eager to welcome.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that vehicles coming during Tribal Pride Day will be exempted from toll tax. Chouhan was virtualy addressing a meeting organized in connection with the Tribal Pride Day event from his residence. Former Minister Rampal Singh, Principal Secretary Tribal Affairs Pallavi Jain Govil, Principal Secretary at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Manish Rastogi, Commissioner Public Relations Sudam Khade and other officers were present. Chief Minister Chouhan held discussions with the members of the Cabinet, public representatives, state level officers and district collectors regarding the arrangements.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this program is a topic for discussion in the entire country and is a top priority programme. Arrangements for safe transportation of all the guests, their accommodation and food must be adequate. It is our responsibility to ensure the safety of the tribals coming from and returning to different districts.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that ambulances must come along with buses coming from the districts which are far away. Along with this, mechanics should also be brought along with the buses, so that there is no obstruction in the way.

It was informed in the meeting that fitness testing of buses is being done to ensure safe transportation. Along with this, arrangements have also been made to test the drivers on the way with the help of breath analyzer.

Tribal communities will take part in their traditional attire

Chief Minister Chouhan spoke to the collectors of Raisen, Betul, Dhar, Sehore, Khargone, Dewas, Jhabua, Hoshangabad, Singrauli, Barwani, Anuppur, Mandla, Dindori, Umaria, Singrauli, Alirajpur, Khandwa, Chhindwara and Harda districts about the transportation, accommodation and food arrangements etc. of the tribals. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the tribals should participate in the event in their traditional attire to express the tribal diversity of the state on Tribal Pride Day.

Gaurav Yatras being taken out from every village

In the meeting, Jhabua Collector told that there is a lot of enthusiasm in the district regarding Tribal Pride Day. Gaurav Yatras are being taken out from every village. Similarly, former minister from Dindori Om Prakash Dhurve told that the youth are specially excited to participate in the programme.

Mandla Collector informed that two couples of 101 years from the district are also excited about taking part in the programme. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this programme is being organized in all tribal dominated gram panchayats along with Bhopal where local residents will be connected to the programme through television and webcast.
