Enhanced the pride and honour of the tribes by renaming Habibganj railway station as Rani Kamlapati station

Bhopal 13 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for renaming Habibganj Railway Station after Rani Kamalapati. Chief Minister Chouhan said that I am grateful to the Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the people of the state and the tribal community.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Habibganj railway station has been given a modern look only on the initiative of Prime Minister Modi. This in itself is an example. The Prime Minister Modi has named the railway station as Rani Kamlapati. Rani Kamalapati was the pride of the Gond society. She was the last Hindu queen. The outside commander Dost Mohammad usurped her kingdom by deceit and treachery. When Rani Kamlapati saw that victory was not possible, she sacrificed herself by ‘Jal Johar’ for the sake of self-respect. Naval Shah, son of Rani Kamalapati, was killed near Lalghati.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in childhood, we used to hear "Taal to Bhopal Taal Baaki Sab Talaiya - Raniyon Mein Rani to Kamalapati Rani Baki Sab Ranaiyya" (Bhopal’s lake is the best, among the queens Kamlapati is the greatest). Kamala Park has already been developed in her name in Bhopal. Prime Minister Modi has enhanced the pride and honour of the tribes by renaming Habibganj Railway Station as Rani Kamlapati Railway Station on the occasion of Janjatiya Gourav Diwas. Chief Minister Chouhan said that I am deeply grateful to Prime Minister Modi. Chief Minister Chouhan said this in a message issued to the media from his residence – Window to News
