Chief Minister Chouhan takes decisive meeting regarding Corona
Bhopal 17 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Covid-19 is almost under control in the state. Therefore, the decision is being taken by the state government to remove all restrictions, which were in force till now. These restrictions were imposed during the time of Covid pandemic. Now all social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious events will be held with full capacity. Fairs to be organized at different places in the state can also be organized. Chal Samarohas can now be taken out and there will be no restrictions on number of participants in marriages. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a long period has been spent amid restrictions. The decision to lift the restrictions has been taken after deliberating on the overall situation.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that people will now be able to attend funerals to pay their last respects. Night curfew is being ended from tonight.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that cinema halls, malls, swimming pools, gyms, yoga centres, restaurants, clubs etc. can now be opened with 100 percent capacity. Schools, colleges, hostels, coaching classes can now be operated at full capacity. All kinds of activities can be started, but it will start with Corona appropriate behaviour.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is important that no such work should be done which may cause spread of infection, there should be no negligence at any level, precaution of mutual distance and use of masks will be mandatory for all.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that shopkeepers will be able to set up shop in the fairs only only if they have got both the doses. In the cinema hall, it will be mandatory for the staff to take both doses and for spectators, minimum one dose is mandatory. Apart from fairs, it will be mandatory for the shopkeeper to get both doses of the vaccine in urban and rural areas. Both doses are must for students above 18 and all staff in hostels.
Chief Minister Chouhan has appealed through the media to take caution. If the government team comes for the Covid test, it is necessary to give sample, so that if the infection is spreading, it can be detected immediately. People who have not got their second dose, must get the dose. Both doses are mandatory for government servants.
CM Chouhan issues instructions in the meeting
Chief Minister Chouhan said that vaccination is useful and the only way for prevention from Covid. This is an effective solution. Everyone should get both doses of the vaccine. Social organizations, crisis management groups, local administration as well as every citizen have to ensure that everyone understands the importance of this important health protection cycle and sees that everyone including us, should get both doses of the vaccine compulsorily.
Chief Minister Chouhan gave these instructions while reviewing the situation of Covid in the state at Mantralaya today. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Health Commissioner Akash Tripathi and other officers were present in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that the first dose of vaccine has been administered to 91.6 percent of the eligible people in the state. The percentage of those who took the second dose is 47.3. 25-30 positive cases are being reported daily. Five positive cases have been reported in Bhopal today. The number of active cases has also come down to 78. We are continuously monitoring the situation. Chief Minister Chouhan also discussed with the officers-in-charge of the districts. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the percentage of first dose is less than 85 in Bhind, Khargone and Sidhi districts. Efforts should be made to increase the percentage in these districts.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the strategy should be that at least 70 to 75 thousand samples must be taken every day. Infection should be closely monitored. If any person has even minor symptoms of the infection, then definitely get the test done. Necessary precautions should be taken by students in schools and hostels. Do not be negligent once the decision to lift the ban has been taken. We must not be careless. Precautions must be taken in crowded places. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that now decision has been taken to withdraw all bans. While taking precautionary measures, it will be necessary to follow some rules.
Major instructions of CM Chouhan
- Now marriage ceremonies will be able to take place normally, but mutual distance and use of masks is must.
- Only those shopkeepers who have got both doses of the vaccine will be allowed to put up shops in fairs.
- Both doses are mandatory for going to the cinema, getting grocery from ration shop.
- Covid appropriate behaviour is must.
- Wearing mask and maintaining much needed distance is must and we must not be careless.
- Both doses are also must for educational institutions and students staying in hostels.
- Both doses of vaccine are mandatory for government servants. Concerned departments must ensure this.
- Vaccinations must be speeded up in districts where there is a shortfall in the second dose.
