Bhopal 20 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Hanuwantia is as beautiful as Sentosa Island in Singapore. It was during his visit to Sentosa Island that he got the inspiration to develop Hanuwantia as a tourist destination. The deep blue water here is like the ocean. The people of cities yearn to see such a sight. Today Hanuwantia has a special place in Madhya Pradesh tourism.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with cultural activities, various adventure activities like scuba diving, joy ride, hot air balloon etc. would be started in Hanuwantia. Tourists will also be able to enjoy sitting in a helicopter. Chief Minister Chouhan today launched Jal Mahotsav 2021-22 at Hanuwantia, a tourist destination of Khandwa district.
Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated all the concerned for the awards received by Madhya Pradesh in Swachchh Survekshan. Indore city of Madhya Pradesh has been the first in the country for the fifth consecutive time in the Swachchh Survekshan. Other areas of the state have also set records in cleanliness. Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated Mundi for coming first in the country in the category of garbage free cities having 25 thousand population.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Nimar region tells the glorious saga of the tribal heroes Tantya Bhil, Bhima Nayak, Khajya Nayak etc. Tantya Mama was born here. His armlets are kept here. The sacrifice day of Tantya Mama will be celebrated in the state on December 4 at Patalpani. Before this, a yatra will be taken out from Barda village of Pandhana tehsil of Khandwa district, the place of his birth, with a pot of his holy soil, which will conclude on December 4 at Patalpani. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed Principal Secretary Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla that an exhibition should be organised in Hanuwantia on the completion of 75 years of independence, which should display the saga of our country's patriots.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Tourism Department is doing wonderful work in the field of tourism. Employment opportunities are created through tourism. Tourism will be promoted more and more in the state. Rural tourism is also being started. Chief Minister Chouhan also directed to start Bird Watch Centre and Night Safari at Charkheda on the demand of Forest Minister Dr. Vijay Shah.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all restrictions related to Corona have been lifted in the state for this purpose so that the livelihood of any section should not be affected. We have to take all precautions even after the ban is lifted. All should mandatorily get two doses of corona vaccine.
Forest Minister Dr. Vijay Shah said that various islands of Narmada river in Hanuwantia region would be developed from the point of view of tourism. Bird watching centre and night safari can be started in Charkheda. Boats will be operated for Sant Singaji pilgrimage site. Here air service can also be started by arranging for landing on the water.
