Sufficient potential for green hydrogen production in the state

Bhopal 22 November 2021: Renew Power Private Limited CMD Sumant Sinha called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his residence and discussed the possibilities of producing green hydrogen in Madhya Pradesh. The company is keen to set up a 50 kilo tonne green hydrogen production project in Madhya Pradesh, which will be the first project of this capacity in the world. Sinha said that green hydrogen produced from green energy is very useful from the point of view of environmental protection. Considering the abundant solar and wind energy available in Madhya Pradesh, there is ample potential for green hydrogen production in the state.

Renew Power is ready to invest Rs 18 thousand crore in the proposed project. This will provide employment to about two thousand people.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is positive and sensitive about the activities being carried out for environmental protection. Sumant Sinha presented to the Chief Minister a sapling and book titled “Fossil Free” on renewable energy in India.
