Tribal organisations express gratitude to Chief Minister Chouhan
Bhopal 26 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government is committed for the social, educational and economic empowerment of the tribal society. Tribal brothers and sisters are contributing in the reconstruction of the country. After seriously considering the demands and aspirations of the tribal brothers and sisters, positive steps will be taken. Chief Minister Chouhan was meeting the representatives of tribal organisations at his residence.
The representatives of tribal organisations thanked Chief Minister Chouhan for recommending the renaming of Patalpani railway station as Jannayak Tantya Bhil railway station. Along with this, they conveyed their gratitude to Chief Minister Chouhan for the announcement to rename the primary health centre Manpur and Bhanwarkuan intersection of Khandwa Road in Indore after Jannayak Tantya Mama Bhil and renovating the temple of Jannayak Tantya Bhil's tomb at Patalpani and naming under construction ISBT bus stand in Indore as Jannayak Tantya Bhil Bus Stand.
Tribal organisations requested Chief Minister Chouhan to establish Tribal Gaurav Kendra in Mhow. In this, a request was made to display the introduction to life of Tantya Mama Bhil through painting, audio-video mediums and also requested to display a photo exhibition of all the great men, revolutionaries, national heroes of the tribal community and their traditions, customs, costumes, culture, artwork, musical instruments, weapons and armaments. Tribal organisations also requested for establishment of Tribal Research Chair in Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore and Tribal Research and Training Institute for tribal area of Malwa. This institute will provide research and training facility on the subjects of forest conservation, forest produce and its value addition, marketing etc. The organisations requested that these activities would pave the way for economic upliftment along with social empowerment of the tribes.
Ramesh Gamod, Khem Singh Jamra, Rajesh Davar, Rakesh Katara, Jai Omkar of Bhima Nayak Vananchal Seva Samiti, Santosh Baghel of Bhilala Samaj, Pooja Lal Ninama, Govind Bhuria of Janjati Vikas Malwa, Radheshyam Jamle, Bhaya Ram Bhaskar of Tantya Mama Group, Vikram Mascula of Rani Durgavati Gondwana Parishad, Shyama Ji Taher of Bhil Janjagrati Manch and Shankar Lal Katara of Maharana Bhil Seva Samiti were present in the meeting.
