Chief Minister Chouhan reviews Agriculture Infrastructure Fund
Bhopal 30 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that agriculture will be made a profitable business by implementing Bamboo Mission in the field of agriculture. Necessary preparation in this direction must be started. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund(AIF) from Mantralaya. Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and senior officers of Agriculture Department were present in the meeting.
Bamboo Mission must be launched
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to prepare an action plan for the Bamboo Mission and implement it. He said that farmers should be motivated and advised on planting bamboo. Bamboo mission should be carried forward in a systematic manner in the state. Task force should be formed after preparing an action plan in a week.
State ranks first in AIF scheme with 1788 projects
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the implementation of the AIF scheme being implemented in the country. So far 1788 projects have been approved under this scheme, which is 45 percent of the entire country. Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions to start the projects of the scheme soon. He said that if the beneficiaries share their experiences, other people will also be benefited from it.
Advice to farmers not to burn stubble
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to stop the incidents of stubble (Parali) burning in the state. He said that farmers should be educated on the disadvantages of stubble burning, so that they refrain from doing it.
Promote organic farming through experts
Chief Minister Chouhan gave instructions to promote organic farming. He said that the experts of organic farming should move forward in this direction. He also instructed to form a task force for this.
Crop diversification must
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to make concerted efforts for diversification and export of crops. He said that the state has its own identity in the country in the field of agriculture, for which efforts should be made on a war footing to maintain it.
